I saw my fair share of these before I deactivated my account.

One of the worst came from an american 'friend'(?) of mine.

She said and I quote:
"Ughhh so stupid...I have to get a visa to go to south america! I mean seriously isn't this the UNITED sates! Ahhhhh....Worst state ever!"

She was promptly removed from my friends list.

Haven't posted in a while but saw this on Facebook tonight and thought it was worthy of this thread.

A parody website called 'Waterford Whiperer News' (some of you may be familiar with it) published an article on the new children's hospital and it's been doing the rounds for the last few days. A guy I know didn't see the funny side and actually believes it is a real article, which is hard to believe if you actually read it (Link > http://waterfordwhispersnews.com/2014/01/29/priory-hall-developer-lands-national-childrens-hospital-contract/ ). He rants about it and despite a mate of his telling him that the article was a piss-take the guy still didn't cop it and continues to rant

Outlining to all and sundry what date(s) you are going somewhere and thus vacating your property for said date. Some leave it un-occupied completely; while others may have some people present.
Still, I don't think it great to announce to all would-be burglars when you will be leaving your property un-attended by yourself for a date.

I believe the point he/she was making is that anyone who does attend college of any sort should make it a priority to at least be able to spell the name of the institute correctly.
Or is that too much to ask of a third-level student?

Bugs me to no end. He does a good morning version of it too. Sometimes he posts statuses referring to his goodnight/good morning message along the lines of "my goodnight message might be a bit late tonight I'm working the late shift" or "I can't believe that people still like my goodnight message every single night", or "Thinking about adding another line to my goodnight message what does everybody think?". Also, he still continues to Facebook after he says goodnight
