If I was looking for a small car I'd probably buy it. Interesting cars, very technologically advanced for their time, very innovative, very well built. I agree they don't look the best to everybody, but it's more interesting to me than a Fiesta, Polo or Corsa.

I'd need to get the keys to remove the bonnet though, just having that little hatch wouldn't be my thang.

lovely little car to drive, nearly bought one for theoh, nice engine, fast& nippy fo what it is and a solid feel for a small car. only thing i remember i didnt like was access to engine. the whole front had to come offi think.
doesnt matter the guy sold it when we went back with the cash a few days later. it was the open sky version with panoramic roof

Used to deliver wv & audis back in the days before bulk car transporters did everything. These were one of my favourite,quirky and as said very nimble. Streets ahead of Ford and Toyotas of the day. Not cheap tho.

bin those wheels for a start .....going by the 'drifting' steering wheel I'd say it might have a hard life - but these engines are well up to taking abuse as long as the coolant and oil is kept in check..

only thing that can make these an economical write off (well €500 hole in your pocket) is the rear sills especially in Tbars, basicly Toyota but 2 foam blocks each side as sound deadening - problem is they can retain water and rot from the inside out.

I pulled mine (and left them out altogether) and found this:

EDIT: I should point out to access this you need to remove the plastic panel behind the seats (below the seat belts) reach into the cavity with your arm and pull the foam, after which you need to stick a digital camera in to inspect it...if you've mars bar fingers like me its far from an easy task :P

Depends - Jap import even an NA the insurance want to wash their hands off you - UK/IE is fine

Its not bad - there was a mint 95 anniversery model for 1500 a while back, those 17's are awful looking and won't help with the handling either - but reckon you could a cheap set of MR2 wheels and flog on those gick alloys

like anything if you play the waiting game the right one will come along, personally even when I move on I'll keep mine as a summer car I'm not going to part with it for less then a months wages.:cool:

I know €695 isn't a lot of money but it's no harm in checking out why it was changed as your €695 might be better spent elsewhere if it turns out to be more than just. cosmetic

If it's only a cosmetic thing id have no issue with it myself and tbh it doesn't look like a car that had a major accident.

id be having a good look behind the bumper for damage though, just incase
