I know you have to complete P1-P3 before sitting the 2 option papaers but if I pay the exam fee for P2 and 1 option paper, would that be sufficient? ?I really want to leave P2 until the very end and am willing to pay exam fee for P2. I hated F7 and seeing as P2 is seen as a continuation of this I really eant to wnsure that I have a clear schedule and good run at it so would like to leave it until the very end. One more thing what do people think of P4 and P5. I am torn between which of these papers I would sit with P7. I liked F9 so is P4 seen as a continuation of this? Any help would be good. Thanks.

I also don't have any option to enter exams or update my PER. Is yours any different? I've been driving myself crazy stalking my acca portal!

I did lectures with Michael Barry In Independent Colleges and In class he was great and you knew what he was talking about.. The problem i had was with his notes which were all just buzz words and when i went to study for the exam they didn't really give you a whole pile bar just learning off the models etc and then have a go at questions.. The problem i'm having is, when i went to sit the exam i felt like i didn't have a really good idea of how to do the question, Like in December the CSF question for question 1.. I did it all but i found myself at times thinking i'm writing complete nonsense and panicking going i'm not going to pass this and i'm being truthful when i say i won't pass it. Like learning all the theory which i knew was fine but it doesn't really give you any form of preparation for the exam itself. I understand the concept of it and using examples relating to the case study etc and thinking outside the box with other examples. Usually an area like this i would be comfortable in but doing this subject i felt i was completely at odds with the P5 paper.. It was the same when practicing questions although i must say now i didn't do to many as i possibly got bogged down on learning the theory inside out which was pretty useless come the exam.. i guess the question i'm trying to ask is: Is this subject as hard as i make it out to be inside my head or is it really a matter of just doing question based revision all the time.. For example in Audit if you didn't do anything bar do every exam question from the book you will find a pattern forming and i'd be pretty sure you will pass the exam.. What i want to know is it the same for P5 or is it far more complex than that... Reason being i previously sat P4 and i knew after a few weeks in that class it wasnt for me but sat the exam anyway.. Moved onto P5 the last time and now i'm a little bit panicked as i just want to finish.. P6 was a paper i always wanted to do as Tax and the financial papers were always my strongest points but the horror stories relating to P6 put me off and also the sense from people who went before me that p5 with work is easily doable got inside my head which means learned the theory did a few questions and felt ah ill waffle through that.. Just looking for other peoples opinions on P5 such as what im doing wrong and do people recommend other areas of outside reading eg. newspapers etc i could take up for P5.. Reason im reluctant to go do P6 is going back doing all the college work and then having a nightmare exam which can clearly happen in Tax..

Supposedly if your default you're a finalist and your default group says ACCA then you passed. There are some other groups like ACCA_students and ACCA_qualification_student They're all gone nuts on that forum. They're reading into every little detail as if it's a sign that they passed or not
