If I may be so bold as to start a new thread.

What are peoples plans/strategy for this in Jan?

Is it best to get it done early to try to gain ground and value or wait a while and see if there are any nice new signings about provided your team is on midline shape?

When is generally best for price rises? Do the majority of casual players go on jan 1 and the prices go crazy or is it evenly spread over the month? It's a 10 day GW at the start too, although so is the last week of the month.

Finally, how the hell do we not end up all with the exact same team, or 90% the same at least?

First time playing so interested but I'm sure the discussion would be of interest to all.

When I sorted all players by "price rise (round)", everyone was at zero, so I just brought in Johnson, cabaye and wilshere. Here's hoping I get the benefit of their rises.

Wildcarding today.....any thoughts?

Sterling, Cabaye, Yaya Toure, Hazard, Whittingham

Suarez, Rodriguez, Aguero

May get Johnson in for Sterling for possible price rise, but whoever is there will lose their spot to Ramsey when hes fit.

I think it's about time the "Nah Nah to Yaya brigade" had its first open meeting to establish numbers. There's a void ever since the Anti-Ramsey Brigade disbanded and my quota of quality whiskey has not been met either :pac:

Yaya can take a hike. I'm not saying never but I'll only get him in if Silva gets injured or returns very little points.

I've been chopping and changing.. At one point or another I've had Sturridge, Lukaku, Remy, Adebayor, Negredo, Dzeko, Podolski, Giroud..

All depends on what you're more comfortable with. Hazard, Yaya, Suarez and Aguero are the players I'm most afraid of not having. 4 highest scoring players in the game so far, and until they stop getting points I'll keep them in the team.

Im the same no plans to get him in. However with walcott now out for the season I will probably be leaving the anti ramsey brigade when he returns from injury.

I've just seen that Kolarov is protected. I suppose that's the end of a price rise for him.

Some reassurance, but I am wobbling lads! Thanks to setminer I know that 72% of the top 50 in my pay league have Yaya, while only 14% of which I am one have Silva.

So does that make Yaya a must have as every time he scores he's killing me, or does it make Silva a great differential??

You set on having 8 strong attacking players?

7 and a cheap 8th that plays is enough IMO.
Upgrade Wilshere to Ramsey and then JRod down to Crouch or something like that would be my suggestion.

Cabaye looks possible to get a 0.2 price rise this week. Secoond highest NTI today. May dump Wilshere for him.. Hmm..

I obviously had doubts about going with Wilshere and Januzaj together in midfield. I think JRod is very good value atm. I will probably go for Ramsey alright and downgrade Januzaj to Mutch or someone. Cheers for the input.

I think I'm going to Yaya it! Swallowed my pride with Coleman and it's been worth it. So much prefer silva as a player, but 72% ownership in my league is dangerous. I'm currently 6th and want to try to win it or top 3 for prizes at least.

The only damage it does to my team is I have to sacrifice Januzaj for a cheap 4th mid and go for rotation mids/ defs. Meaning I'll have a 333 of very strong players and pick 1 from the 4 spare mids/defs each week.

Feel free to talk me out of it.....

Nah but seriously he has been unreal this season, everything seems to be going right for him and in a free-scoring City attack he has licence to roam forward into the opposition's penalty area. To think I had him in my gameweek 4 wildcard team for price rises still gives me chills. If I'd kept him I'd be doing so much better right now.

Oh and he's also become a free-kick specialist.

Yaya is single handedly destroying me in my private league. I have no choice but to get him in on the WC and use differentials elsewhere.
