I'm trying to organise a hen weekend including a spa, 2 nights accommodation, 2 breakfasts, one evening meal and drinks for under €200 each. Its a group of about 12 and in terms of areas I'm thinking Kilkenny, Tralee, Dingle or Clare as it would be nice to do something outdoorsy during the day. Is this totally impossible?

Hen party planning sites seem to believe all hens want to learn to pole dance, or make cocktails.

Hey there,

I have to organise 2 hens this year...both in September. Like you, we have no interest in pole dancing! I have one booked for Galway and the other one is going to be in Dublin (not getting very far with it). I don't know what time of year you're going at or if Galway is an option for you but The Meyrick hotel and G-Hotel have good hen offers. We went with the Meyrick as it's right in the city centre and their deal was very reasonable - B&B for two nights, including one evening meal, a spa treatment (hot stone massage or an eye make over thing) with a bottle of prosecco for the bride to be all for €194.50pps.

kilarney is better than Tralee,dingle will be dead,
pole dancing is a great skill to have,you can even practice at bus stops so you don't have to buy equipment

also look at cork

get a deposit as some will not show up maybe 50% deposit

Thanks for the feedback, I'll check out Killarney. Unfortunately, Galway, Dublin and Cork are all out as they are home for all the main players! No one is excited about going out where they actually live! It will be in Autumn. Has anyone been to a hen in Kilkenny? Westport sound like a good spot but it's too far for the Cork contingent.

Hi,
I've been to a few Hen Partys in my local Greyhound Stadium in Mullingar. Always great craic. They have a nice restaurant upstairs looking right out at the racing and you can place your bets right at the table so you don't even need to move!! I know they do packages with accomodation and daytime activities but don't know the cost. I'm sure they have a website. Hope this helps and good luck.
