GW 21 Matchday Thread

After all the talk of WCs, do we dont we, ups and downs, injuries, etc etc this week, it seems everyone has forgot to do the GW Thread.

So after much thought, I have finally settled on my single transfer, and gone with this, just hope West Ham and Cardiff end in a draw going by my GKR and DEF.

No access to laptop after tonight till tomorrow evening so no more changes for me, with a GW first this season of 5 midfeilders.

In saying that I do still have Mig, Kos, Sterling, Silva, Arteta, captain Suarez and Danny G's 1 point to come. Having so many players on Sunday and Monday hasn't boded well so far this season.

I think the fact United won and played well is the only thing keeping me positive though because it's been another awful GW in a bad period for me. The second I broke 100k half way through a GW I've been given a sharp reality check.

anything said on evans injury( i knew he was a doubt) he was the only let down in my wildcard so far. Moyes is a ff nightmare with regard injuries, Wenger the opposite. As a pool fan I hope you get what you wish for in a convincing win:pac:, I think it will be a draw myself though.

Held off on the wildcard and just subbed in Fonte for Rooney this week, 9 points, bloody delighted.

34 pts with 6 to play including capn' Suarez. Everyone with a clean sheet, goal or assist so far

So I had a slight change this morning, playing Negredo ahead of Cabaye. So far scored 35 from 5, 4 to play including captain, and 2 subs on the bench, unfortunately one of them is Krul, hoping city dont inflict to much damage.

Not only that, he had the lowest bonus point score of any 90 minute Man Utd player. His contributions just didn't line up with the stats used to award them

Wow. Not been on since before the 3.00 games, just reading back the thread I was figuring my 38(-4) from 7 players seemed a reasonable score, but not great. Expected red arrows but am actually up nearly 2k to 16.5k overall.

Happy days, first time in a long time a hit pretty much paid for itself straight away. Adebayor in for Rooney meant not having to play Chester who managed 2 because he was subbed so the hit cost 1pt.

Pretty much depending on an arsenal CS (double cover) and captain Suarez to see if it turns out a very good week.

Bejaysus you were never getting red arrows with that score in a week that Liverpool, Arsenal and City haven't played yet!!!

Have Koscielny, Sagna, Ozil, Negredo, Suarez (C) and that's it actually... Hadn't noticed Turner did not play. So Chester comes in with 2 pts. Could be worse.

In fairness, I'm not too bothered this year. Only started GW10 so don't have any real goal to achieve bar the highest possible overall. Actually maybe the objective could be all green arrows 'till the end of the season.

It is neither good nor bad, but for the red/green arrows it doesn't matter how many you've played until the end of the week when everyone else has played.

235k, a nice jump from 348k for me. I've only 4 to play tomorrow, I'd be delighted if I can manage to stay in the top 250k.

Looks good but Marshall 1 pointer hurts (twice he loses 1 pt in the last min of a game) and Dawson who did feck all for months for me and who got the chop during the WC getting 8 points because of this ridiculous peno from Puncheon leaves me in a speechless rage state :mad:

. My chickening out to get him out for Sagna last GW for a hit is gonna haunt me for long! I still think I made the right mid to long term call with my WC though but am getting really nervous of Sagna returns tomorrow now...

Ah well, on the bright side I'm back to ~ 5k overall. Damn It's so bloody tough and stressfull to stay that highly ranked !

ye i think southampton are one of the best teams in the league defensively. From when pochetteni took over till boruc got injured they were excellent in that department. Today was the first gameweek since gw 13 they have had boruc clyne shaw fonte and lovren. Their lack of clean sheets wasnt helped by a really tough fixture list and in particular boruc's absence, gazzaninga in particular is an awful gk.

My 28 from 5 (Mannone, Hazard, Coleman, Terry and Lukaku) only sees me fall 700 places which I'm delighted with. Now at 3200.

Ward to sub in with 1 and five players to go - Mert, Cabaye, Silva, Ozil and Suarez (c).

If Negredo and Yaya fail tomorrow, it will have been a decent week considering I held my wildcard.

If a midfielder fails to score or assist in a game where his team wins and keeps a clean sheet then there's next to no chance he'll get close to a bonus.
MOTM doesn't really factor much if not involved in the above scoring areas.
