This thread is designed to hopefully relieve some of the "Football tips thread" of posts which are just "I'm on over 2.5 goals" or "here's my acca" for the weekend.

plenty of freedom here to question bets, pick holes in them, give out a few throw away comments, general banter etc.

it is that time of the year again where many leagues on the continent enjoy a couple of weeks winter break.
Most clubs, of which many Dutch, will travel to the sun for a week or more of training and some friendlies.

One of the destinations is Belek in Turkey.

I recently read a book about match fixing in football and winter season in Belek had its own little chapter.
Friendlies are organised by "agents" on the spot and they include referees for you as well.
And no, this book is not available in English. Already asked for that at the publisher.

AZ from Holland was involved in a friendly there against Werder bremen a couple of years ago, losing 2-1. nothing out of the ordinary happened in tha match apart from 2 goals in the 10 mins injury time no one knew where they came from.

What i want to say with this is...... If you are goign to bet on friendlies, do you research. See where they are played. Neutral venues like Belek are very suitable for the fixing agents and the clubs dont care about the result in those matches and there is hardly any spectators.

Matches in these resorts are quite often full of late goals.

Don't have the links to hand but Exeter about to kick off in the u21 league cup against Blackburn.

Blackburn are rock bottom of the u21 premier league and Exeter at on a giant killing run knocking out top half of the u21 prem table Southampton and a Crystal Palace side with some first team lads on it in the lead up to this.

Exeter play in the lower u21 divisions.. They have a player Nichols who was promoted to seniors because of his performance and goals in this comp. Nichols is allowed to play this match tonight. Confidence is very high.

I'm gonna wait in play for a while and will definitely back then with a small stake if they go behind especially and odds rise up.
