I have issues with heights. If I made it all the way to the end I'd probably have to be air lifted off. Magnificent views though, I really wish I was able to do something like this.

I don't think I'd be able to handle the climbing with the footholds. I never enjoyed climbing.
If I was able to work out for a bit to make sure I had the upper body strength to pull myself up + safety gear then yeah, I'd do it.

This is the kind of trail that shows up in my nightmares. As much as I love a good walk/ climb, and a beautiful view, I cant even imagine the panic attack I'd get going along those planks. I'm actually ok with the foothold part

...and someone went up there (how???) to nail the scary planks and chains on, who was that???

Had the same thoughts about the Skelligs when I first went out there...but have to admit this is a whole different level of lunacy!

Hahaha. That's me all over. I used to be ok with heights, did rock climbing as a teen. Climbed up ladders to paint houses. However I have developed an irrational fear of heights since. I get dizzy standing on a chair now.

It says in the article that the building at the top used to be a Taoist temple. Maybe they were holy people who were being persecuted or wanted peace and quite to meditate or it might have been a huge honour to survive the journey to visit them or something.

I remember doing Croagh Patrick and being impressed they had managed to build a church at the top but this is a whole other level of :eek:
