It is an automatic - and actually at the top part of the add - it does say its an automatic.

However the seller has copied and pasted (it appears) lots of bits and pieces about the car from one of those info sites like parkers - things like co2 emissions been 214 g etc - and that's where it says its a 5 speed manual.

On a related note - this one has extra spoilers etc - which look like the sort of thing Mitsubishi may have offered as accessories when the car was new.

If they are Mitsubishi accessories - do they need to be declared as mods for insurance if fitted at dealer rather then factory???

I think the Pandas are going to be on the bangernomics scene for a good while to come - which is turning me off buying one slightly - as i think the time will come where i might end up having to buy a Panda - because that's whats out there.

That's because when 08 and later cars come on the scene - most of them will be modern diesels

Tempted to thus buy something else in the meantime

No issues with mine so far (touch wood) but it is under powered for a car weighing nigh on 1.6 tonnes.

Didn't someone mention recently that the Laguna II 1.6 was different to the Megane II 1.6 - and that it was the Megane version that had the dephaser pulley.

(scratches head) if you have to have a French yoke - just buy a C5, 406 or 407 instead(even 407s aren't as bad as Laguna IIs from what I can see

As a matter of interest just how much of a disaster is the dephaser pulley issue - is it a don't touch one at all at all because of it type issue.

They are supposed to be a lot better after the 05 facelift to be fair.

Was this a sudden improvement after the 05 facelift I wonder or did very late (04/early 05) pre facelifts share some of these improvements too???

Reason I ask - is that I knew of an 05 PRE facelift Laguna II estate that was in use as a taxi for around 3 or 4 years - and it was bought 2nd hand.

Would have expected taxi man to have given it the door quite quickly if it was of typical PRE facelift Laguna II reliability.

Nobody wants a laguna anymore the keycard killed the sales of it . A lot of those cards got snapped in back pants pocket. 500 euro for a replacement!!! not for me.
