The most hungover you have ever been

What is the most hungover you guise have ever been? I'm fairly suffering at the moment but its nowhere close to the great (great used in the pejorative sense) hangover of Oct 7th 2011, I got sick every 30 mins from 11 am till 6pm after getting sick in my sleep the night before. (skittle vodka never again) It was, an experience to say the least.

I know some folks are immune to the hangovers and some suffer worse than others, so whats the most hungover/worst hangover you've ever had?

Usually on a hangover day I could drink up to 10 mugs of tea, and not go for a piss for the whole day. Eat toast and crisps all day and get a takeaway in the evening.

I don't know how you even look at food, I could barely drink water when I was hungover

was drinking wine one evening- got hammered- had a boat trip the next day but said it would be grand because it was only going to be 2 hours- they never mentioned it would be 2 hours of a boat going up and down in fooking choppy water. bastards! had the shakes for 4 hours after it!

After the Vodafone comedy festival in 2012, went to diceys. Completely forgot it was a Sunday and had work the next day. I got hammered.

Ended up having to jump out of a taxi to get sick, then continuously got sick until about 6pm that evening. Got sick beside my bed, beside my door (that my mam walked in), on the landing, on the toilet floor, and in the actual toilet. It was horrific! I didn't even call in sick to work! Could not function whatsoever

A neighbours funeral 14 years ago,after the burial started drinking Guinness followed by hot whiskeys and finished the night on brandy.

Woke up the next morning to find the pillow covered in vomit, I can honestly say I never felt so sick in my life.

Over in Thailand and ended up in a club that sold whiskey in a bucket. Why yes - one bucket of whiskey please. We had a tour booked the following day and the bus left at 9am. Left the club at 8am..

Felt grand at first as we tuktuked our way back to the hotel and got a McDonald's for breakfast. Then got onto the bus for a hour long journey in the sweltering heat - felt less grand. Got to some weird animal zoo thing followed by a long session of Thai dancing - felt very ungrand indeed.

I wasn't so much ill as I had an out of body experience. Spent a lot of the day with my head spinning thinking I don't understand what's going on.

Never drink whiskey from a bucket.

Had two bottles of wine in a friends house within about 3 hours. Was totally fine, went to the bathroom and came back totally hammered! threw up all over her floor then passed out. She had to put me to bed.

Woke up next morning still drunk, made my way home spent the rest of the weekend feeling like I was having a nervous breakdown (I cried in mass) combined with constant vomiting of pure white wine. Had a such headache I had to lie in a darkened room for two days and there was my poor teetotal mother thinking I had a virus.

I dont drink wine anymore.

While I've had my fair share of "the waves of unwell" after a heavy night, thankfully never experienced anything like what others have described on this thread.

However, I remember once being ill the next morning but someone was in the bathroom, so I grabbed a plastic bag (was prepared) and started spewing into it in my bedroom, queue this awful wretch and next thing it felt like I'd sucked my balls up into my stomach, the agony. So there I was one hand clutching my nuts in agony, and the other hand trying to keep the plastic bag open as I continued to spew. Not my finest moment.

Was in Perth Australia stayed with some cousins who I hadn't seen in over twenty years. They finished work at 4 and took me straight to an Irish bar. I was trying to keep up with my cousins husband who weighs over 20 stone and takes forever to get drunk. Also everybody there was buying me drinks because I was the new Irish guy in town. I also went out to the carpark and had a few blasts on a bong. After the pub had closed I was completely hammered. Then we got invited to this guys house. He grew weed so we had some more of that and some poitin. The whole thing ended about 4 am and the guy I'm with drives us home even though he's completely off his face. I collapsed into bed and seemed to get woken about ten minutes later (it was actually three hours). They were going to work and it was decided that I should travel by train into the city. I felt absolutely horrendous. I couldn't stop shaking. It was stiflingly hot. I fell asleep on the train. Then I stumbled around Perth City centre trying to stay in the shade and drinking literally liters of coke. Eventually I found a cinema, bought a ticket and slept the whole way through a three hour long movie. If I ever go back to Australia I won't be staying with them.

Holiday to vegas a few years back,Few pints at the airport bar,few more on the plane,more at the layover in chicago and more on the last leg to vegas.Needed to go to bed after checking into the hotel but the bright lights got the better of me and went straight out to see what i could see........
Many beers,shots,cigars and stupid gambling decisions later i woke up in my room and started puking like yer wan from the exorcist!!!
Puked so hard that i broke some blood vessels around my eyes and looked like i'd been in a fight with Tyson.
A bad mix of jet lag,alcohol and whatever else i did kept me in my room for the 1st 2 days of my week in vegas.Never so bad in my life!!!

The worst I've ever been has involved sweating, shaking, feeling too hot then too cold, couldn't get out of bed but couldn't sleep puking bile and dry wretching until 9pm the following day. Couldn't tolerate a drop of water or any tablets. Runny acidic trips to the toilet. Feeling of utter emotional dismay. Guinness and whiskey is what done it!
I don't get how you see people up and about, tucking in to a fry saying 'god I'm so unbelievably hungover', no your not, you're just groggy.

Worst was when I was 21. Went on a first date, which turned into a session with his mates and then back to the house they shared for another drinking session.

Woke up the next day in the guy's bed, naked except for his dressing gown, in a puddle of my own vomit and blood. Apparently I had decided to strip off and go to bed, and he stuck his dressing gown on me to stop him from seeing me naked when i was so drunk.

Spent the next two days unable to eat, swallow water or even move really. Just constantly puking up bile and blood. It got so bad, he tried to ring an ambulance, but I stopped him.

Funnily enough, no matter what I drink now (and I once got drunk enough to wind up in hospital), i never get a hangover. Haven't had one since. Tbh if I got hangovers, I wouldn't bother drinking.

A few years back on a New Years eve, I knocked back quite a lot of whisky, brandy, 2 bottles of champagne and there were probably a few vodkas in there as well. I don't normally drink more than 4 drinks max. I'll skip all the horrendous details, suffice to say it took 3 days to recover and I didn't drink for almost a year.

A few years ago I was terribly hungover, splitting headache and feeling really sick etc. I was starving too but I didn't want to eat because it would probably just come back up.

Eventually I got sick and I thought the coast was clear so i had myself a ham sandwich. I was wrong, I got sick again soon after. What made it worse was some of the ham came out my nose.

Was so bad a few days ago that I spent 36 hours in bed shaking. That's the longest I've ever spent in bed. Wasn't even able to get up for a piss. Thankfully I wasn't able to drink water so I didn't piss myself!

I've been admitted to hospital twice before with alcohol poisioning, once was 4 days after I had actually stopped drinking!!!

My hangovers only vary in severity, as in how long it takes me to feel normal again. When I was 19 that could be 2 hours, now it could take me 2 days to get my appetite back. I've just shaken off a hangover today, with the help of a chicken caesar wrap and an ice cold beer, but I wasn't suffering all that badly.

Did once go meet my friend and his gf when they came back from oz. They arrived back in town at 9am, I'd been up all night drinking. Said they were gonna go for a walk round town, stupidly, I agreed to go.

All I remember is it being a hot day, and I was wearing jeans, t shirt and a jacket over it. Didn't wanna take it off because I was afraid I was sweating too much and people would notice! I walked around with a pounding headache, sweat pissing out of me, not even able to mumble conversation. Great company I was

Now unless I know I've nothing to be doing the following day I'd take it a bit easier on the gargle!

Early morning flight from Gatwick to Shannon. I had been on the lash in Camden the night before. Spirits, beer, cocktails, shots, joints, ill-advised shag. One of those nights.

Woke up in the hotel at around 5am. Had a shower and almost drowned in it. Started to suspect that I was in trouble. Somehow managed the bus to Gatwick where I lay face-down across 4 seats outside Burger King.

I genuinely thought I was going to pass out or die or something. Managed to zombie my way on to the plane where I just closed my eyes and cried for the whole flight.

Getting off with a horrible head on me I met the pilot who I know from home who looked at me in horror! He was surprised I'd been let on the plane at all.

Had to kip for 3 hrs in Shannon before I could even attempt the final drive home.

It was the worst of times. It was the worst of times.

I just can't cope with a hangover of any description these days, just drink a few times a year anyway and even then it's only a few.

10 years ago I could work the next day after drinking a skinfull but not now.

After a staff party which had gone on til about 7am and involved drinking rum mixed with alco pops I was in bed til 4pm. Heard my da's car pull up outside coming home from work so I thought I'd jump into the shower and I wouldn't look/smell like a complete mess. Got up, stripped off and put a towel round and as I started walking down the hall my vision went. It was like a really slow powerpoint slide animation as all I could see was blue blurryness descending on my vision. End up grabbing onto a chair in the hall and my da comes in and asks what the **** is wrong. Holding onto the chair with one hand and the towel with the other I told him "I can't see!?" and he has to lead me back to my bed. Took about 20 seconds of lying there for my vision to come back. Stayed there for the rest of the evening.

Have had plenty, the worst always involve champagne. The hangover from that is nuclear.

The worst was on a lads holiday in Gran Canaria about 10 years ago. Last night of the trip was a school disco theme with free bar which we took full advantage of. Got back to the hotel at 5 and after an hour of kip it was on to a bus to the airport to catch a flight to Shannon. The girl at check in told us we were so drunk that we needed to go have a coffee or we might not be left on the flight. Did just that and got on the plane for a 4 hour flight home. Sitting in the seat rocking back and forth demented from the drink. To top it off flight was diverted to Cork. Thankfully the flight was smooth or I would have spewed all over the place.

Worst I ever was had me getting sick on the bus on the way into town, stumbling off and sitting on a kerb somewhere in Dublin getting sick for the next hour or two. Put back on another Dublin Bus home which I proceeded to somehow find more sick in my stomach to throw up all over the place. Got sick several times at home before passing out, next day my head was thumping in a way I've never experienced before or since, like something pulling back on every nerve then pulsing forward as hard as it could, felt like I was going to take off with the pounding. Any water I drank I threw straight back up almost immediately, spent the next two days in the bathroom, getting sick and swallowing painkillers, and the day after that in my bedroom. Was near the end of the week before I was able to leave the house again, dignity in ruins, nothing remembered from the night in question and missed a concert I'd bought a ticket the 2 days afterward because I hadn't recovered.

It's amazing how resilient alcohol is, for want of a better word. Any other drug causing some of the hangovers described on this thread and people would never go near it again, but nearly everyone returns to it again and again.

Recently on a few occassions,I have been so hungover that sometimes I forget how to swallow,and I end up nearly choking whilst eating or haing a sip of a drink,scary when it happens.no idea why this has started to happen .I dont ever really feel like vomitting much after drinking,usually just the mental anguish for 2 or 3 days that gets me.never seem to learn

I was out last Easter for the first time in ages due to college, went absolutley hammer and thongs drinking 10% european beers, whole night was a blackout. The next morning the team I play soccer with were having a charity tournament. woke up at 10 am covered in puke, had to force myself up as my mate's car was in town, stupidly drove the 2 miles down to his house, got him to drive the rest of the way in. I was slumped in the passenger seat just getting sick into a towel. Got to the soccer pitch, I went to sleep in the back seat, 20 minutes later a lad told me I had to play as they were short. Did the walk of shame into the clubroom and got greeted with huge cheers by the lads. Made my way onto the pitch and just stood there like I was a zombie, made a few sprints but I could hardly see where I was going. Ended up costing us the game with some ****ty pass. I've had rough hangovers but that was ridiculous.

Not from over indulgence but from a bad pint where I didn't get out of bed until the Tuesday after the Saturday night. I went home at around 11, not feeling great after about 6 pints. Woke up the next morning with a thousand firey spears ramming through my intestines. I vomited until I could no more. Then there was nothing but bile for about another 24 hours.

Also, everyone gets hangovers. If someone drinks more than their liver can process, they will have some form of hangover that manifests itself somehow. As you get older, your liver doesn't process as well so the hangovers grow worse. Some people are lucky that their system can process more quickly and more efficiently though, which lowers the chances/effects.

A lot of people claim "Oh I don't get a hangover, I just get tired". That's a hangover. "Oh I don't get a hangover, I just get thirsty". That's a hangover.

And it's gonna get worse and worse....
