If you don't like Mrs. Brown's boys don't watch it simple as. There is other channels available after all and while most of the jokes on it last night were older than Brendan O Carroll himself there is an audience for it. If there wasn't it wouldn't be broadcast.

Yes was listening to the lines - some of them sound very familiar.

In fact so many of the slap stick stuff is stole from Mrs Doyls.

My mother likes it too, she and her friends laugh like drains at the thing, it is silly entertainment, any time I'm there I can see they're in hysterics! I tried it, it isn't my cup of tea but it entertains a particular section of society; but it really isn't that different in style from the father ted show either. But the hatred is hard to understand. Maybe it is because it appeals to an older generation?

Hate Mrs Browns' Boys. Same old predicatable comedy with age-old jokes and cheesy humour.

Example of an episode;
"Mammy!" says the blonde one with the irritating hoarse voice and toothy grin. "What love, I'm giving Grandad a bed-bath!"
Cue raucous laughing from the audience.
"Do you think Grandad will mind that I've eaten all his nuts?"
"Yes Hiraly, it took him all day to suck the chocolate off." THAT'S AN OLD JOKE.

Mrs Brown with her hanky in her hand all the time irritates me.
The stupid gormless son dressing up as a snowman and being told about "snowballs" by Mrs Brown.
More laughter from the audience.

The entire cast breaking the fourth wall and laughing along with the audience.

It amazes me how this drivel has become so popular.
It's hopeless and I cringe whenever it comes on.

God be with the days when we had proper comedy.

There is a "message" behind it all.

No, it's worlds apart from Fr Ted. Fr Ted was actually funny for the most. MBB is absolute dire muck.

Anyone is free to chose what they like or dislike, but neither me nor anyone else choosing not to watch it will make it any better. It will always be drivel. Herselfs mother was here tonight and it was on, I've seen more humour in Oireacteas (spelling) report.
