If they have to put you out under a general anaesthetic then there are stats on the health risks of that. It's routine but like CAT scans something to be avoided unless it's necessary. Fillings also have a finite life, so maybe get them changed when they are due to be changed ? What is needed is a vaccine against things like streptococcus mucans or whatever germs cause plaque. Or some sort of gene therapy / biotech magic that allows us to grow new teeth in the same way that all non-mammalian organisms with teeth can.

So basically I am searching for a highly skilled dentist who can take these fillings out for me. Also: has anybody got this done?
