Just wondering where boardies are going to get their PS4's? Are they going to buy it online? Buy it from the likes of Gamestop/Smyths/HMV/Xtravision? Or going Amazon/other online retailers?

Today I was looking at the order detail for the above item and it stated:

"The following item will arrive after 25 Dec 2013."

This is different to the estimate I received from Customer Service on the 15th of November when I queried the shipping date (see email below).

Could you confirm what the situation is with this order? Seeing as it's a Christmas present I'm a little anxious.

According to the Amazon forums it is a glitch.

Hopefully that is the case. I'll update as soon as I get a reply from customer service.

The Amazon forum is full of conflicting information from Customer Service.

It seems you'll get a different story depending on who you talk to. I'm still waiting for my reply.

Just listened to it,he kept his word regarding my email.

The show tried all day to contact XV & eventually got a one line statement saying they are not going to implement the "You must buy an extra game" rule for PS4 launch.

A victory for us consumers I think,pity it took the weight of a national radio station to get a response from them.

Dont know if I would call it a victory, those who bought their Xbox still got shafted last week. If anything it just means XV havent fully gotten away with it and wont be doing it on Friday but already got away with it last week.

Have many people been getting calls from Harvey Norman? I ordered the Killzone bundle start of October but was told I'm pretty much guaranteed one launch day. I'm guessing they'll be receiving stock over the next few days if not already.

It was more a climbdown than anything from XV,they knew that they got caught out screwing customers.
No consolation to Xbox owners who got shafted last week but at least now we know they won't be doing it again Friday.Nice to know that anyone who pre-ordered with them won't have to come up with another €65 on Friday.

BF4 just arrived from VGP. Anyone else think the case is a bit shoddy. I think the PS3 case was a lot stronger. Maybe it's just the copy from Canada.

I refer to your recent emails.

The trader cannot change the contract by insisting that you either buy a game or any accessories. This was not part of the initial contract. By now insisting you buy other products the trader is in breach of contract. They should either allow you to buy the game console only as originally contracted or to release you from the contract and provide a full refund.

If you paid by credit card you can make a claim from your credit card company under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act as the total amount of the goods is over £100. If you paid in full by Visa, MasterCard or American Express debit card you can claim from your card provider under the Chargeback Scheme. Under this scheme you have 120 to make a claim.

The circumstances you outline may also give rise to a breach of the legislation enforced by the Trading Standards Service. Details of your complaint will be passed to one of the Trading Standards Enforcement Teams for review and evaluation.

If the Trading Standards Service needs your help you will be contacted within 5 working days.

Even if the Trading Standards Service cannot investigate your individual complaint at this time, it will be recorded for intelligence purposes on our trader database.

Pre-ordered in June in GS, and paid off the balance yesterday. Asked the bloke will I be getting it launch night, and he told me manager has a list, which she'll use to ring people up this week for invites.

He seemed to think I was sorted though. I'll be sitting on the phone for the next 48 hrs.
