krudler wrote: » Lol I didn't even think of that. Are the binoculars the most pointless item in the game, they zoom in about three feet.
krudler wrote: » I havent invaded anyone in my game yet, I stay hollow most of the time anyway so rarely get invaded myself. Is there anything else to it aside from being human and using one of the cracked red eye orbs? must give it a try later.
Mickeroo wrote: » That's pretty much it. There are also covenants which will give you items that let you invade as much as you want. Having said that, unless you've built your character specifically for PvP you'll probably get your ass handed to you a lot of the time.
krudler wrote: » What do you lose if you invade and are killed? souls or specific stuff? I have sod all souls at the moment so not much to lose lol
Tommy_NDX wrote: » You don't lose anything but you will have to pick up your bloodstain so be wary of where you are when you invade. What level are you? You could go to the forest where the door that opens with the crest of artorias is, drop your white summon sign and try get summoned. You'll probably be summoned by someone who is pvping. From there you'll see the best, worst and funniest of the multiplayer side of the game as the forest is just a lawless battleground. You'll be one shotted by high damage builds and hackers, cheesed by others, stun locked, lag stabbed, pyroed and in between you'll have some great fights with decent players. Then next play through you could try specialized build and co-op/invade in other areas that don't have a huge asshole population but you should definitely try the forest to see it all.

A nicer intro to PvP may be joining the Blades of the Darkmoon covenant. You won't be invading as frequently as the Darkwraiths, but at least you'll be more likely to be fighting people that aren't specialised for PvP, so you'll have a fairer fight. Punish the guilty!
