I am from Killarney and used to always eat there when I was in Cork. I ate in The Thomond when it was closed but would be great to go back to Zanzibar again. Any info appreciated, cheers

Malari wrote: » Well, I've been a looong, long time ago. I'd say it's changed hands, chefs and everything else since then :P I did drop in to have a look about a year ago. I wanted to book a dinner around Christmas for a bunch of people. The menu was fine, as far as I recall, but the evening I dropped by (Friday evening in December) the place was really quiet and that's what put me off.

The beer was good though and the wife enjoyed what she had. The price was reasonable as well. I would probably go back, but would try something different.
