So I'm not too stressed out this fine Monday How's everybody else?

D'Agger wrote: » Nope, picked up a cheap acoustic about 6 weeks ago and been tipping away with it, still quite poor but able to churn out one or two songs at the moment and I'm able to give it time due to a lack of football or general fitness work :pac:

I don't take it seriously at all, even though I've done a few gigs when asked, but its such a stress reliever and a fantastic way to chill out, relax, and pass the time. Moved to Dublin about 5 weeks ago and couldn't get the guitar up with me for a few weeks, really realise how much you miss it then. You're probably at the early stage when you get blisters on your fingers, but its worth it down the line
D'Agger wrote: » Hoping to get in tonight and do some cardio, then hopefully back again tomorrow morning, like yourself, in for 7 or so. Need to make out a plan tonight and give it a proper 6 weeks. Ata boy Barna Yeah the fingers are after toughening up a bit now. Same as yourself, it's a great way to relax and take your mind off things, I'd regularly come home from work in crap form and work away on it for a few minutes, instantly in a better place after. Have been playing one or two songs non stop on capo 6 & capo 3 - was feeling pretty good about my speed in changing chords, went back to the top of the fretboard yesterday evening for a song....dear god the frets seem like an eternity away from each other, it was awful! :pac:
D'Agger wrote: » Cheers for that. TBQH I'm only looking on ultimate guitar for songs I'd enjoy playing and I just try to learn them, that said it means that I've covered the main chords by now so hopefully with time I'll move towards bar chords. Still trying to just get comfortable switching between chords. If I haven't already mentioned, I'm left handed playing a right handed guitar....upside down :pac: - still, no issues so far
BonsaiKitten wrote: » Are you still doing that. ..didn't you just get a new one? :pac:
D'Agger wrote: » I....don't get this How's teaching going?
BonsaiKitten wrote: » ...Didn't you start off playing a right handed guitar upside down? Did you go buy another right handed one? That's next week, this week is planning. Exhausted doesn't even begin to cover it...I even have my phone and computer set to an hour fast to fool myself into working quicker :pac: It's surprisingly effective!
D'Agger wrote: » That would depress me moreso than make me work more effectively I think! I started off that way alright, didn't think I had said it here though....I never mentioned getting a new guitar though - stop confusing meeeeeee!! :pac:
BonsaiKitten wrote: » No, you said it in a PM I think, you dope :pac: I know, it's weird but sure fcukit if it works it works. Now, if you'll excuse me, it's 4.30 and I have work to do!

D'Agger wrote: » Aye, a strum down for a right handed person is a strum up for me Nope - and it's working suprisingly well - I'll forward on a vid or something if you want to see how it works!I decided to do it this way so that I could pick up a guitar at a session or something and play it without going 'oh can't play, left handed'
