PS4 Pre-Order Thread! Where are you getting yours?

Just wondering where boardies are going to get their PS4's? Are they going to buy it online? Buy it from the likes of Gamestop/Smyths/HMV/Xtravision? Or going Amazon/other online retailers?

The Plus Edition, despite it's name has less content than the normal version but seeing as it's a free launch title, can't really complain. And you can upgrade it to the full version with a discount over buying the game outright through the PS store.

A lot of people including myself will avoid Gamestop going forward, It's not like GS was ever cheaper than anyone else! and they're customer services now speaks for itself.

Last time I bought a game in Gamestop was La Noire. Only ordered online just because it worked out cheaper than the english sites. It'll be the last thing I buy off them.

For anyone searching, after being told in Smyth's and GameStop yesterday that there was no hope of one before xmas unless I had ordered months ago I came home and started to consult my friend 'Google'

The ONLY place I came one was Harvey Norman, they have everything marked as 'pre-order in store' EXCEPT for the Killzone bundle for €439, I took a chance on it, you have to pay in full though, I then emailed their customer services and got a call back today, I wanted to know if I would definitely receive it on launch day as there is no mention of it on the website, anyway, the girl I spoke to said they had confirmed another 50 recently (all killzone bundles) and that they would be available on launch day, happy days.

Just ordered mine on amazon.co.uk the other day and got on to customer service chat tonight to see was there any hope of me getting the ps4 before xmas. Was told est delivery on 29-30 of November. Nearly choke on my tea. Doe she mean 2014??

Well upgraded my Amazon Bundle to option 5 (Killzone/Camera/Extra Controller), hope they send confirmation soon as you know the way you think you hit option 5 hope I didn't accidentally press option 6 (crappy fifa) :-)

Seriously? I pre-ordered with them, Harvey Norman too, back at the end of August and was on that online chat there and was told they aren't sure when I'll be getting one but it won't be on release.

Hey guys, I know I'm very late on this. This isn't for me though, this is for my college's Gaming Society. We only got a budget for a ps4. Hoping I could get a few pointers where is best to get it at this stage? So far Harvey Norman seems to be the place to go.

Great I ordered the killzone + 2 controllers + camera bundle so it is £429 now , I will keep my gamestop online order but will give it to my brother as they screwed over their online customers with no choice of bundles.

Well picked the K/Z, Camera & extra controller with Smyths the other day.

Hoping the camera will have some features which my 9 year old will look but other than that the bundle means little to me.

Asked in Smyths if I am guaranteed it on launch, she didn't know. I went to pay the €480 owed and they wouldn't take it off me... madness.

Ordered the Mega Killzone there off Amazon, not liking my chances but the thing with Amazon is that is extremely safe to order and cancel with them. Hopefully I get some good news off them, and it should work out at a bit less than €520 with the extra tax. Maybe Gamestop will offer something in the meantime that'll beat that price but at least I've an alternative to them now even if I have to wait for it.

With Amazon also you should always pay in sterling, it will save you a few quid, the Amazon currency converter is never right or accurate for some reason.

I don't think you can pay in euro for pre-orders, the option is usually there for me but not for this. I assume it's to combat any change in exchange if the euro falls against the pound and they lose out.

Paid 439 smacks online for the harvey norman bundle....................was told 99 percent chance of having it on launch day or day after on the phone.......... cancelled my order with the gamestop douches

I was going to pre-order that killzone bundle online but my gf lives right next to a Harvey Norman and I was staying in hers so said I'd go down first and if that doesn't work I'll pre-order online.

FYI

The Killzone bundle currently available for pre-order for €439 at Harvey Norman is not the mega-pack. It's the standard bundle that includes the console, the game and 1 controller.
