PS4 Pre-Order Thread! Where are you getting yours?

Just wondering where boardies are going to get their PS4's? Are they going to buy it online? Buy it from the likes of Gamestop/Smyths/HMV/Xtravision? Or going Amazon/other online retailers?

Took you up the wrong way sorry, but I do agree with you that it should be better communicated with the staff. I stopped in this day last week picking up stuff for my nephews/nieces, so said I'd just check up on it and see if I was ok to get a day one as I never talked to them since I pre ordered (the lad on the desk laughed at me:( not in a mean way just saying you'll be grand as I didn't realize I was as high up the list

) but asked about bundles and all was told by someone first that it would be next month around the release date before they know anything but then one of the others overheard him, corrected him and said they'd be in contact this month.

feck it i just preordered the console yesterday online with gamestop (paid the full amount)........................... i can pick the games I want at my leisure then ...............hopefully I get it before xmas

Sweet, I ordered mine at the end of June. Not getting a bundle wouldn't be the end of the world for me but its nice to know I can get one.

Is there honestly a risk of pre-ordering and still not getting it before Christmas? I was thinking of ordering one to have in time for the holidays, but if I thought I wouldn't get one by Christmas Eve then I'd nearly leave it off until January. I don't think I could handle the disappointment.

There has always been a risk, even amazon are not guaranteeing you one before Christmas if you ordered after the 8th of august, they have upped the price to 402 pounds now on preorders as well. July 20th for in store orders or August 8th for online orders guarantee you a launch day model, after that it depends on what stock comes in during December and that will not be much.

After the phone call from Gamestop on Saturday I went in today and put a deposit down on the Watchdogs bundle.
I can see the value with the extra controller and camera with the Killzone bundle but I will be mostly playing Ghosts and I am really looking forward to playing Watchdogs.

I think I might hold off for a bit then. If I fork over the money I'll be out of my head with excitement. I've never woken up sad on Christmas morning, no point in starting now.

Possibly dude, but I suppose if your not in and all that..........besides the cash is burning a hole at the mo and I might as well spend it on something very worth while

i keep PMing xtravision on facebook and they said today and last week....

Hi Mark, bundles have not yet been confirmed but will be by the end of the month or so and pre-book customers will then be given opportunity of changing.

yet loads of you guys seem to have ordered the bundle recently with xtravision. im afraid i may lose out on a bundle

When did you preorder because that help us see if you can get a bundle if your on the launch window you should be able and if your on second wave maybe but probably no.Did you go into xtravision you preorder from and ask them could you get a bundle.

Your best off just going into your store and tell them to check their system for the bundles if you did not preorder online, and if they dont find them, they are lying as they are there.

I went in on Sunday. He did have a look but as you can tell I still got no info.

I was in Grafton street today after work, and there was no trouble pre-ordering bundles. There was a guy in before me ordered one as well.

You could just pre order with gamestop.ie just in case because they don't charge you until they actually ship the ps4 so no loss anyway

i preordered around may-june and im confirmed to be on the 1st wave. i asked them last monday could i order a bundle and they basically said what they said on facebook. so thats 3 attempts in 7 days to get official details from xtravision about upgrading to a bundle and 3 failed. yet people here had no bother..

it must vary from store to store. Twice in 2 days I got pretty much the same answer.

Yeah, seems that way. I would hope that they would be consistent between stores. Your best bet is to keep trying.

Did you fully pay off your ps4 because mine was fully paid off thinking there offering them to people like that first and then to others.

Anyone know if I will lose the money I've already put down on a pre-order for Watch Dogs in gamestop if I switch over to the bundle? I'd guess that they'd transfer what I've paid towards the bundle but not sure

Yea they cancel your first preorder then change it to the bundle and you pay the difference you still get your ps4 on launch so all good:)

Xtravisions official line. (from head office anyway) is that they'll be contacting people who preordered the 1st wave of consoles towards the end of the month to offer them bundles.

I don't know why or how some stores have already moved some customers on to bundles but it may just be people who have either paid it off or put down larger deposits.

I ordered on June 13th and have heard nothing yet.
