In the 80's, I went to school with a guy called Richard Ramsbottom, I think you can imagine what specal hell we made his life when we realised that, short for Richard was 'Dick'... I feel ad about it now....

BUT, I curently work with a bloke called Reamsbottom (really, a swear I'm not making this up), I think that you can imagine how, in this PC world of HR departments that we live in, how hard that make life...

I'm one of those people whose parents thought it was a great fantastic idea to give me a double barrelled surname. I'd have to say my own, no one can ever spell it because they always think it's one name. I was giving details over the phone one time for a letter and the guy just couldn't get his head around it, until I told him there was a hyphen in the middle. So the letter eventually came in with "(surname1)hyphen(surname2)
