I use to play FiFA and championship Manager a lot but in the last few years I dont play any computer games..maybe its coz of lack of time or else pure laziness..maybe at 29 I am too old for computer gamesDo you play computer Games AH..if so for how many hours a week and what age are you

33, and actively playing. Love reading too, and my LCD TV is effectively a screen for the PC/Xbox 360, as I don't need any Sky/UPC service (matter of fact, I don't even have a simple aerial).

"Funny" fact, most people I know would slag videogames as a "waste of time" and claim to be too busy, but have absolutely no problem sitting on the couch 2-3 hours straight watching episode after episode of countless american sitcoms, not to mention waste hours watching silly crap on Youtube.

The only people I ever hear saying they are 'too busy' are people who do **** all. The type of person who spends an so much time making a 'To do' list that the accomplishment of said tasks takes less long that creating the list. Someone told me recently they were too busy to read a book yet I know that they have been watching the series 'Scrubs' in its entirety

Big gamer, had some epic memories playing Super Mario World, Zelda, Metroid etc right up until the present where I can rock an MP5 to prestige level. I'm postponing GTA V because I'm on a box set orgy if breaking bad and lost.

have a 11 year old son,enjoy playing CoD/tf2 online with him or when he's over with me for the weekend we'd fire up prison architect or civ5.

I keep telling him how good he has it,showed him the last ninja on a c64 emulator and told him when I was his age that was the pinnacle of gameplay and graphics

needless to say he wasnt to impressed lol the little fecker

That's normal.Big kids use "6 and a half!" to distinguish them from the toddler that is only 6 years old. However when you reach a certain age, it becomes "41 and a half" when young hunks/babes want to make it clear they are not like that 42 years old granny

Ok, I confess
I've a pretty decent collection, some 50/60 consoles and handheld games machines.
Many many hundreds of games.
And I have a gamesroom to store and display them in.
I also have a AWSD arcade cabinet

I try to play a little something everyday, longer sessions are precluded by the needs of wife and son, not to mention work.
Sometimes a game grabs and won't let you go until the end, Silent Hill 2, Doom, Red Dead Redemption and so on.

45 and share a Steam account with my teenage son. I had to build him a PC so I could use mine. He doesn't need to even ask to buy new games coming out because I'll get them for myself anyway.

That's interesting, while I am still buying games it's my ten year old son that is getting to play them, the ones that are age appropriate at least!
But we have had some good times playing New Super Mario Bros Wii U together.

43 now and just can't imagine a life without these games.

Just started on GTA 5 and looking forward to the games coming out on new generations over the next few years.

I can't stand when I tell some people of my age that I play a game and they think it's childish etc.

They just don't get it and you can't explain it to them!

By the way my father is 71 and is an avid Xbox fan!

I used to play a lot, but these days it's mostly flash games and the occasional indie download. I'm addicted to tower defence games. My Dad is fifty odd and is a literal champion of Civilization. The guy's amazing at it. These days I get the time every now and then to play Assassin's Creed, but that's about it. I'm gonna be getting a PS3 at some point second hand, because I am poor. Last console I owned was the PS2 years ago.

I always had a console or PC to play on. This is the first time since I can remember where I didn't have a couple of games going at once.

EDIT: Also, I play(ed) Pokemon religiously for years. I was also a real high level on Dead Frontier until last year when I just didn't have the time for it, and left my character to die

Was big into them for a long while. After the second/third Layton game I found myself playing them a lot less. I don't think it was lack of interest, I simply hadn't acquired any new consoles as money was tight and would play the DS sporadically. Then, in 08 or 09 i discovered my first Steam Sale. Later I found out about other digital retailers of PC games and I've never really looked back. In my opinion, games and books are the best form of escapism there is!

Yep, but I'm a PC gamer, no consoles. It was always a struggle until I found out about Steam 4 or 5 years ago, that has made PC gaming so much easier and more fun. I think it's gonna be huge, and luckily I'll be finished my Leaving Cert by the time it comes out. In a way I'm glad GTAV hasn't been released on PC as it would ruin my Leaving, but god it had better come out for PC after next June :pac:

I have been gaming since the C64, I stopped after the N64, used to play 4 player of that alot before going out on the lash with the lads, good times!! I didn't really go near one again till 2008 when I bought my son an xbox360 which I haven't stopped playing since

I have stopped playing as much over the last year due to Wife and Child commitments but I still love to spend a couple of hours here and there, find it very relaxing and the online can be a good craic when you have a bunch of lads you game with! I picked up GTA V the other day and I know I will probably only be able to put in about 4-5 hours a week but I am really looking forward to it. I am now 33 and I laugh at the people who look at you as if you have 5 heads when they hear you play video games. I see nothing wrong with it, obviously, the older you get and with kids and that, you just won't be able to play as much but I will continue to enjoy them for a long time to come!

When I started gaming instead of getting a disk with games in magazines you got the code to write the games out yourself. Good old BBC micro.

I've gone pure nerd with my gaming in the last few years though. Many major games bore me so I've started doing sim racing and will turn my nose up at any shooter that isn't ARMA. My descent into pure nerd is almost complete as I'm seriously contemplating buying Euro Truck simulator 2 pretty soon. It's a sim where you run your own trucking cargo business and drive all over Europe.

I've only played the demo so I was driving back and over from Netherlands to parts of the UK, I could only pick up a limited range jobs in the demo rather than buy my own business, trucks and employees.

There is a huge range of cargo and trucks though, you get licenses for particular types of cargo. I was driving home from Galway today and kept looking at different trucks wanting to drive them in the game.

23 , been gaming since I was a toddler.

There has been no other entertainment that has giving me more cherished childhood memories up to this very day from playing sonic the hedgehog , golden axe and streets of rage with my dad for the megadrive era up till now.
