Disabled parking spaces. Do you..

....park in them if you are not entitled to?
I dont want this to become a shouty fighty thread!

I loath the misuse of disabled parking spaces but what i am interested in here is fathoming the mind set of the people who park in them. In my work last night i had to chase two people, two ordinary and usually quite nice individuals out of disabled spaces in a private car park. I really just done get it.
What is your justification?

People only do it so they don't have to walk an extra 10 metres. My friends mother with MS needed a disabled car space and a women was parked in it. My friends mother couldn't get it into the women head that a disabled spot is for people who actually need it and not there for the sake of it

There's not that many disabled drivers around and the parking spaces are just for show mostly.
Also what's another fifty or a hundred yards if they can't park in the disabled spot.
My justification.

The thing is the two i ran out of my works spaces arent generally cnuts or lazy or stupid etc yadda yadda (except in this regard obviously). Im hoping that someone can attempt to give a reasoned explanation of how they think this is ok

Nope....one of the most annoying things is fat people parking in them....it's not a f*cking disability.

Also see a lot of taxi drivers doing it but they can park anywhere they like.

And I do throw dirty looks at people who are parked in it who do not have the disabled sticker . That'll tell them.

So how do you respond to the attached post?
Or in my place of work I had to track down the two individuals because we had a bus load of wheel cahir users due and one car was blocking the space with the accees ramp and the other space was also required for an MS sufferer.
Whats another fifty or 100 yards to a disabled person...really?

Never done it and wont ever do it either.

On a side note though.............

Tesco in Clarehall have about 50 disabled car parking spaces right along the front of their underground carpark.

I never see it full of disabled cars though....:pac:

You just want me to justify why two fcuckwits thought it was ok to park in a space allotted for disabled drivers.

Saw a man in a wheelchair go up to two lads parked in a disabled spot in Tesco Artane and he gave them some serious abuse for it.:D

I don't park in them but I do feel some car parks go a bit overkill with the amount of spaces provided. Those parent and child spaces do my head in though, absolutely no justification for them.

I don't think there is any possible justification but one possible reason might be badly marked and signposted spaces, no extra space at the sides to distinguish them. I've on occasion accidentally pulled into these types of spaces (and stress to add pulled back out when realised it was a disabled spot).

Child spots are another thing.....Was in Aldi when this 100 year old botox junkie parked her 7 series across 2 baby spots, ran in and came back out with a case of wine? Could she not just park in a normal sopt or is she they type that buys a big car and needs the extra space to drive in :rolleyes:

I park in the disable spaces in DIY stores like B&Q and Woodies .....if you can do some DIY you ain't that disabled.
