Remember Twitch had that roll of money - enough to pay for the deposit on the apartment. Perhaps the social worker was getting him to help lure the girls into his car and paying him. He may also have promised to end his probation, as per the letter his girlfriend read out to him. Twitch also looked pretty upset when looking at those photos of Bullet.

Perhaps the Mills link is just that he's simply a stooge. The social worker may have planted the evidence there, knowing about his sideline in underage porn.

Anyway, back to the last episode, it dragged for me a little until the end, where I thought Peter Sarsgaard played an absolute blinder. His death was genuinely quite upsetting. I was raging that baldy guard wouldn't allow him say goodbye to his son.

Looking forward to tonight's finale, but as someone else commented, I can't say the reveal holds as much interest for me as last season. Still, I could still be mightily surprised yet....

Nod to the first episode of the show with Linden running in the forest in the teaser.

After last week's episode they ran a promo for the finale suggesting it was a cop, so once I heard that I figured it was the Lieutenant. It was never going to be Reddick. He was too second rate and a bit bumbling, really. Glad he found Adrian in the end, though. Bound to be the guy in plain sight, the one that you're sleeping with.

Anyway, on the whole I thought it was a bit mediocre, tbh. I preferred the first half as it was basically catching up with the characters - baldy prison guard passes on the torch, Holder's grief, Callie's mother. All that was pretty solid, plus the Linden/Holder banter in the car. :pac: Second half was were they let themselves down, imo. As said, the reveal wasn't really a surprise, but in the main it felt like there was a lot we've already seen. That's fine and I think you can generally get away with a fair bit in this genre, but I just didn't particularly care for Skinner's justifications/revealing his dark side and so on. I get that it meant mental torture for Sarah (shout out to Se7en), but it just didn't really pull me in or feel particularly satisfying. I did enjoy Holder's playing games with IA, though!

just finished watching the end of season 3. not as good as seasons 1 and 2 for me. obviously two seasons were spent on the rosie murder, and i think the viewer got drawn in more to that story due to the time spent getting to know the characters etc.

still though, very watchable. just awaiting the return of breaking bad now!

Sud? Who cares about her? Only you seem to. They have largely kept her off the interview radar whilst the show was in production and on the air. If you don't like the show and don't want to watch, fine. But, if you only dislike it through the prism of hating Sud, perhaps give it a go by giving Holder and Linden a chance. They are decent characters. If not, move on.

Ah was a bit dissapointed in the end, I liked the IA with Holder,

but another car trip, where someone reveals all to Sarah. we had that already with the priest..

was a bit boring to be honest...

Nice to see twitch trying to stay honest for a while by throwing away the drugs, and that holders girl still loves him.

Pity there was nothing more about sarahs personal life with the kid and ex involved.

the first 2 seasons were much more intense and dark.

The last episode was fine. Not great but not bad. I can't think of any plot holes which is good.

I'm very disappointed that Linden did what Skinner asked her to. Suggests another series leaving it like that.

Overall, not a patch on the first two series but still enjoyable.

I have to say that I thought this was a fantastic season, and thought the last two episodes were really great, I know that some people prefer the story running over 2 seasons but doing that got them cancelled so I think they made the right decision in running it over one.

I knew the very minute that a cop was involved that it was Skinner, so many things started adding up straight away. I really liked t anyway and hope tha it gets renewed. Holder and Linden are fantastic characters, play wonderfully, I just love the dynamic. Also thought that Bullet was a stand out as a supporting actor. Over all a great season, I think that there are definitely some loose ends to be tied up, Linden obviously shouldn't have shot skinner and he also said that there were many more girls than those found at the original dump site.

Just finished the season last night and although I missed some of the supporting characters from season 1 & 2, I thought this was a well structured season.

They set-up a few could-be killers at the beginning to keep us guessing and it was a genuine shock when Skinner was fingered as the killer.

I liked how they portrayed Linden's adrenaline rush as they walked down to the car from Skinners house. It was just as she described it to Seward.

I think Linden is f**ked after executing Skinner and Holder knows they can't cover this one up. Linden will have to do time for this. I wouldn't be surprised if the next season is set 5 years in the future when she gets out of prison.

Richard has a habit for disliking and/or refusing to watch a show if he deems the actress to be ugly or have a "bitch face". I'm not sure why he dislikes The Killing but I assume that it's completely illogical and not one a normal person would share.

She played that series like a network proceadural and AMC took the biggest backlash in tv history.......

Just because you don't like how the show plays out doesn't mean that you can start spouting crap about hating someone. Series 1 of the Killing started off strong but the latter half of the series had a lot of filler. The writing time were criticized for it and with series 2 they endeavored to make the fans happy. Not often that the writing staff take on board fan and critic feedback and actually try and make the show more in line what people expect.

The fact that she received both racist and sexist messages from supposed fans of the show says a lot. It's one thing to dislike a show, just ignore it. ^ i wasnt the only one....it was one of the largest backlashes in tv history, forums and websites were flooded. Sud has said in interviews she took no notice of fans or backlash and wrote season 2 and 3 the way SHE wanted.

Sud is to blame, it did start strong....but by episode four fell apart, "grief porn" + her pattern of bait and switch became apparent by episode 7 and continued. I *watched* the first season.

Right so you're basing you opinion of the show solely on the first series and ignoring the subsequent two, which were generally very well received. You obviously have no idea how a TV network is run if you think that the showrunner is solely to be credited for how good or bad a show turns out. There could be a hundred elements influencing how the show played out and it's not uncommon for a producer or network exec to see a show and demand changes.

I have massive issues with how the series played out but I'm not going to lay that blame solely at the show runners feet and even if I did, only a scumbag would resort to sending abusive messages to the person.

Yeah!....the first season pissed me off sooo much that i *refused* to watch anything else. I blame Sud and AMC for the lies they told....they KNEW how the season would end and still continued to make people belive the murder would be solved by the end of the season.

precisely, every show ever made will have its critics, im sure shows like the west wing and sopranos had fans who wholeheartedly hated it, and i would consider them both as 2 of the top 10 TV shows i have ever watched, as would a lot of other people, but haters gonna hate i suppose,

richard doesnt even watch the show so i find his opinion completely invalid, just like when he talks about lost (which he also hasnt seen), even when hes proven wrong on multiple occasions he still comes back for more, and with the exact same original statement and opinion, which were wrong t begin with,

i wonder what netflix will have to say about the show now, it got renewed on the strength that they went in on it with AMC, and it performed just as well in season 3 as it did with 2,

I don't like a lot of shows, for instance I think that revenge is tripe, so I just don't watch it. I don't like a lot of decisions that show runners have made, some of them pissed me off but I just think its a bit much to be coming onto the sub of a show you don't watch and posting that you want it cancelled or that you're glad it was. It just seems like a waste of time and energy to me.

It's an exaggeration to say it was one of the biggest backlashes in TV history. It only seems that way because the internet can be a very loud and annoying megaphone in US TVland. I don't care if the network had to come out an defend it (season 1). This show has not entered the public imagination in the same way Lost, The Sopranos and Breaking Bad have. Most people didn't watch it and have never heard of it. Most I suspect would not sign up for a Veena Sud project from not knowing who she is. The Danish version (not perfect, but better than the US one), however, people are aware of and rightly so.
