Not a contender for the bangernomics thread, in particular if work needs to be done to the brakes. Wouldn't be too tuned into classic car prices but reckon you would need to be getting it for considerably less than the €1,900 asking price. Would be a nice car for the enthusiast I'm sure if the seller is being straight up and no serious rust underneath.

Short test, long tax thou. Wouldn't worry out the pre facelift bumper at that price. When I had one I think the rear shoes and bushes were my only problem.

I can also vouch for all of the work that has been done. The car passed the nct the other day with the new engine in place.

Those wheels don't look great, would suit a 166 much better, the car they were intended for. Not fully gone on the Zender kit either even though it is rare.

He's asking big bucks for that car too regardless of what's it's had done to it...

Agree with everything.
However, if your in the market for a 156, you won't go wrong with that one.
I'd rather buy that one, knowing who it's came from than buy a similar age 156 from some chap who didn't know his oil from his coolant for 900.
Sometimes theirs a premium worth paying.

You'd want to be getting that for under the €1.5k, at the end of the day its over 10 years old with near 130k miles. It is one of the better ones though which is good to see

After that we get into the territory of debating over 2/3 hundred euros. For what is possibly a reliable bangernomic.
