I am normally a bit skeptical to some of these claims (for example I reckon there must be a fair few compo bandwagoners latched on to the Savile case) but the 2012 charge sounds like pretty damning physical evidence if they have actually seized a photo in his possession.

Mind you nobody I care about has been done so my childhood conscience is clear. How any kid ever saw Jimmy Savile as a likable figure I don't understand.

I think there's a lot more of this to come. More than a few of the Led Zeppelin groupies would have been early to mid-teens and I'm pretty certain that could be said of most bands of the time.

Every profession has its monsters. Just that entertainment/media is high profile. For every seriously bad apple, there were and are thousands of BBC staff who go about their jobs as you and I would.

It's a shame if it spoils our collective memories of certain TV legends but it's much better in the long run that they are exposed for their crimes.
