Villas-Boas, when asked whether he had made a bid for Willian, said: "No, no." When asked whether he admired the player, the Tottenham manager said: "Yes. This is a player who I have spoken about in the past, not very long ago. He is a player who I appreciate. He belongs to them and I respect them so I wouldn't like to extend myself too much."

Our line is suseptable to being very high, with no pace. Its one of the main concerns i have for the current system, the lack of a pacy CB. Finding a speedy CB is something that should be considered by Rodgers, as it will cost us on occasion and should only be implemented in games where the opposition rely on such attacks (Villa do and will this season IMO). However, i presume it is an after thought for most with the prospect of signing Willian. And to be perfectly honest, i cant think of a CB that would fit our style and who has the speed required.

I put his tweet up earlier alongside that of another spoofer's tweet from this morning. Now a few hours later and the deal he was so sure was 80:20 in favour of Spurs does not exist. No doubt whichever way the transfer eventually pans out, he now has a tweet of his that he can point to as saying he called it in advance. The Ballbag technique I belive it is called.
Gary Jacob @garyjacob 14h@DannyBarnett77 As someone said 50-50 and I said. 'no, THFC favourites. Maybe 80-20. Must go, Willian on the line.. MrBoywunder @MrBoywunder 3h For me Gary Jacob pulled that 80/20 stuff out of his arse. He doesn't know what Willian is thinking.

I posted the Everton one, cause I thought it was just as Relevant. They've finished ahead of us for 2 Seasons now. But it appears, that most think it's a Foregone Conclusion that we'll Leapfrog them this Year. Well I'll take heed.

But still.....http://www.irishtimes.com/sport/soccer/sturridge-s-winner-and-mignolet-s-dream-debut-gives-rodgers-plenty-to-smile-about-1.1498662Simon Mignolet’s penalty stop from Stoke’s Jonathan Walters produced “the debut that you dream of” for the €10.5 million signing from Sunderland. In doing so he became the only Liverpool goalkeeper to save a spot-kick on his debut and the first to foil one in a league game at Anfield for 14 years. The last time was August 28th 1999, to be exact, when Sander Westerveld thwarted Arsenal’s Davor Suker, with the 16 awarded since (not many, admittedly) all converted. A remarkable statistic that Mignolet enhanced with the follow-up, denying Kenwyne Jones with the rebound and his manager familiar torment.
