Yep, any monitor will do. You just need a hdmi to dvi lead to hook them up.

But obviously you want something reasonably high rez.

Your easiest bet is a cheap tele but if you have a monitor the cable will be cheaper

I'd be going for a cheap Tv personally. And Nim is correct if your going for a monitor you will also need speakers.

Tv's are dear enough. But if I find one for the right money ill get it.

The audio output would go straight from your PS3

Some monitors do have speakers though, but it'll cost more. I'd just get a cheap 26" TV with HDMI.

The ps3, slim only had hdmi out for picture and av multi out would cover sound. Meaning if you were going with a monitor your speaker would need to be able to take av in.

That's awfully dear. You can easily get a 26" for around 150 in Argos. HDMI is part of the TVs these days so they shouldn't be charging more for a specific port.

EDIT: Just looked at Argos there and seems there was a massive price jump in six months
