To put it into a different context, if a bunch of white supremacists turned up at some large African-American event holding signs telling them they were all going to hell, I think they could expect a similar response.

Yeah, they have a right to freedom of speech, but with that right comes the fact that if you provoke someone they could quite easily end up decking you.

I know they've a right to freedom of speech, but you can see what happens up north with contentious parades when two polar opposite and often irreconcilable opinions come face-to-face.

I think in the UK anyway, the police would probably have removed the 'god squad' types on the grounds that they were likely to create a public order incident. Not sure if they could do that in Ireland.

I'm pretty sure though the police could instruct you to 'move on'.

Oh gosh, please stop talking drivel, I do have a right to have a point whether I'm religious or not, whether you like it or not. I will not talk to people who constantly berate others just because of their beliefs. Even if it opposes what you think is correct, or because you think is "offensive"
