Could do with some help with this one guys.

Looking to wall mount my speakers, and I have the mounts up, but I'm finding it impossible to source the bolts for the speakers themselves.

They use 1/2" long, 1/4" wide, 20 teeth-per-inch screws.

Being imperial are very hard to come by here. The closest metric equivalent will screw in about 1/2 turn, then jam. I haven't been able to find them anywhere. Amazon have them, but the seller doesn't ship to Ireland, and they're €3 per bolt anyway.

Anyone know anyone that might be able to find them? I only need four.

For any kind of non standard (read imperial) bolts or fixings, I go to Dublin nut & bolt, they have a great selection of stuff. They're on the Ballymount Road lower, give the a call before you head in to be sure.

BTW, disregard the crap website, there is an old boy in there, and he's like the yoda of the fixing world

I think it's quite nice. There's not exactly a huge selection of nice itx cases.

Been keeping an eye out for decent new ITX cases with decent storage space and the two I'm waiting to get more details on are the Cooler Master Elite 130 and the Silverstone Raven. Hoping one or two more come out by the end of year too.

just after doing some cable management in the 350D before hardware starts to be put in and i didnt curse at it one which is a first for a thumb screw case. the 24 pin is a bit of a tight fit to get in thought the grommet but other than that im impressed loads of room behind the mobo tray

Buy UK plugs, cut the ends off the leads, and stick new plugs on is about the only thing I can think of. The plug is the expensive bit though, so it might work out just as cheap to get new leads.

On paper at least the figures look plenty grim, but alot of people have said they haven't noticed much in practice.

That said there is a slowed down comparison video of crysis 3 going around with the prototype driver and its like night and day to my eyes, and I wouldn't consider myself overtly sensitive to such things. Just have a single card myself but might pop in a second HD7850 at some point in the future.

A common problem in cases where the psu is at tha bottom and the motherboard at the top

So went out looking for a kettle lead in town today and the brinks and mortar shops were of no use.

€10 - Peats
€17 - Maplins

In general the hardware in peats was pretty reasonably priced they had a 660ti for just over €300.

Maplins are a joke tho €99 for a 320gb HDD

I feel terrible for the people that wouldn't know and better, they also has some interesting cases Corsair 300R was €99,Zalman Z11 €75 and Z9 for €65.
They did have the Cooler Master Elite 120 ITX for €41 which is the same price as Hardwarevesand charge for it but that as good as it gets.

I wouldn't mind paying a 10-15% premium but most of the items were double the RRP bit of a joke.

So ended up pulling the kettle lead out of the aul PlayStation.

Lads. How cheaply I can build a small PC, for just netflix, movies, streaming TV in a browser. No need for windows. Might just be a small SSD as I got 120gb portable ssd for data etc.

My buddy wants to buy my old dell for gaming, which would do him fine, but I dont really want to sell it as It is always handy to have spare PC. This dell is Overkill for entertainment pupose needs.
So if i can sell him cheaply my oldy and make him happy, so he can finally switch to darkside, then I could build a small cheap PC for bedroom.

Propane Nightmare

What generally happens when you overload a PSU that has insufficient wattage? Looking to know as I did a calculation online, and if I was to add another fan and HDD, I would be 10 watts below the max wattage, so getting close. Would the computer just not start or restart itself, or something more sinister such as the PSU catching fire? Its a corsair PSU if it matters.
