Boring driving has its rewards. After a few hundred motorway miles with the cc set at 60mph I've averaged 44mpg.

Not too shabby for a 2L petrol. Now before anyone asks I'm using the cars calculations but having check my mpg manually vs the computer in the car I've found it to be spot on.

So went over as a bit of a chancer and I managed to get squeezed in to a packed nct schedule this morning for the retest.

Passed with compliments

delighted. 3 day turnaround from fail to pass

brakes & suspension couldn't give better readings than they do now

wish I could keep it now

Without the cc you could have done the same speed and averaged about 47mpg

I've found that before with cc. Then again if I was in charge I wouldn't have had the patience to stay at 60mph!

Another 70e in petrol to Baldonnel and back today

so i spent another 70e on h&r 15mm for the rear of the car :P

Although some daysuls are a little different! I average 30 MPG, dropping as low as 15-22 around town and as high as 36 for a round trip to athlone.

The car is showing 9.1 l/100km since I bought it (2000km ago)

I was only looking earlier and seen that there is almost 10k km on the focus and I don't have it 4 months till the very end of this month. I was surprised at I much clocked up considering it spent most of the time broken down :pac: a no but between mechanics etc it was of the road for 3 weeks plus. I never really thought I done that much driving tbh.

Plenty of places for a few pints & go to McDonagh fish & chip shop. Can't beat Galway

Sure have THANK GOD.

I've got my books out updating my notes as well so not enjoying the holidays just yet.

The flying lessons were a present for Christmas. I'm doing them near Lucan around 2pm. Looking forward to it as I've always wanted to do it.

Out of interest do any of the e46 owners here have back trouble?

I've covered 350 miles in the last 24hrs and I'm in AGONY. I always thought bmws were suitable for people with bad backs

Ive done dublin to cork and back today in the space of 5 hours and once again I commented on how good the seats are. no sore back or anything, the e46 are fantastic cruisers
