Even though
this is an old story, I think it's worth reminding people of the criminality that exists in Ireland today.
On my way to the shop earlier, I passed two young girls who looked to be in their late teens, early twenties were arguing outside an apartment complex.
On my way back, they were then arguing with some occupant before I was almost walking alongside them in direction of pubs/clubs.
I could tell they were speaking in Russian and in distress by their tone of voice.
Anyway, I crossed the street as we reached the busy area of town and saw them go into a local bar.
Nothing strange about that of course but, it's rumored Lithuanian and Russian gangs are operating in every town throughout Ireland.
Selling drugs and prostitution mainly, running legitimate businesses as a front for their criminality like buying clothes.
Does anyone know of the Russian Mafia operating here in Ireland?
I have some anecdotal evidence regarding beatings of junkies by Russians which leads me to believe the Mafia are operating here in Ireland in every major town and city.
