tips on marriage registration

hi,

It might sound strange.
i am looking for some tips on how to get marriage register fast.
we are based in Dublin region and it seems so difficult to make an appoitment with the registration office.

anyone has good ideas on how to relatively speed up the process.:)

I'm not sure what you mean. There's no real way to 'speed up' the process. The law says you need to give at least 3 months notice to marry. You just need to keep trying the office. Eventually, you'll get through. Just be patient.

3 month is acceptable. but i just couldn't book any dates at all in Dublin area...

From my own experience I booked ours in Dec 2012 for June 2014 only.coz.we have a lot of family flying in and whated to make sure I was defo getting date I wanted.

What i was told from Lombard House is that for getting married by the HSE there is only one time slot now in use and that is 3.30pm suits me but might not suit all. Found them very friendly and easy to get in touch with

how did you book yours?
when i try to book. below is what i see (i rang the number however, there is no one answer the phone at all):

Joyce House is the correct place you should be ringing. You will need to keep trying. It is hard to get them on the phone as they are very very busy. They will explain what dates are available for your ceremony and also be able to book you in for your paperwork meeting too.

Sorry it is Joyce house, I called them in Oct last year for some details and they said that 2014 calendar at that time wasnt up.but they were going down the route.of on line so to wait till Jan 2013, just hefore.xmas tho i thought i would try it and the online calendar did come.up but i couldnt select my date, called them and they took details over.fone and sent out the paprwork for the hotel, all sorted said I could reply back to the email to book my 3months part when ever I wanted

We got an appointment fairly quick, managed to get through on the phone and they had a time for is 6 weeks later. You know you don't have to go to the Dublin office? You can go to the one in naas, or anywhere if you like, you don't have to register in the county you're getting married in.

just book outside of Dublin. we gave our 3 months notice and got married 3 months later.

Hi Jackhua - we used this website to book our appointment online http://www.crsappointments.ie/

Quick and easy and I think it showed us all of the availability...... It was genuine too as we have our green booklet
