alot of signs and alot of googling (some may call it cheating) would have been better but for the a dusty crossroads with no cars or people only cows

I got lucky at the last attempt being dropped beside a tourist information map with "Welcome to Portree, Isle of Skye" on top of it.I do tend to take a scout around the immediate area before making my guess, so I'm not sure if that's in keeping with the spirit of the game or not. The only downside is that a lot of places covered tend to be anonymous brown landscapes somewhere in North America. Addictive!

Hah, that was funny or weird. Last night I was reading about the Unesco World Heritage site of the Nuclear A- Bomb Dome site in Hiroshima and it dropped me right beside it. Yesterday i managed to get nearly 11,000 points but did it once so far and only 8900. Mixed Spain up with the USA.

I've figured out what I've been doing wrong with this and now I love it.
Couple of times I've been dropped right next to sign like "Welcome to Overton, Texas"
Other times its the middle of nowhere "This is definitely Kenya, has to be Kenya...... France?!? WTF!!"

The same countries seems to repeat a lot for me.
I'm usually getting America, Brazil & Australia the most, followed by Russia, Japan & South Africa.

is it cheating to use google maps to find them? i got 23785 using some detective work on maps. was 0.2km away from 2 of them. its really addictive game for anyone who loves geography.
