DutchDude wrote: » First question I would have is: have you set your HDMI output on the box to RGB? This was a solution which was put in place in a previous version of the Horizon software that resolved a large part of all the problems seen in NL. You can do this is the settings menu of the box(default is 'auto', change it to one of the two RGB settings.) Yeah changed this earlier this evening. Seems to have somewhat stabilised...:) What king of NAS drive do you have? Does it not support DLNA or UPNP like A lot of them? If so you can play (some of) this content on the Horizon box

I've been onto UPC and they are blaming the fact I have a Philips TV and there is an incompatibility issue on HDMI between Horizon and the TV. Done some research and it would seem in the Netherlands there have been huge numbers of problems with this and not just philips. TV model is 42PFL9664/12. UPC suggested I might have to connect via scart to resolve this issue. Big fail if that is the case.

The USB ports on the back of the unit - I'm guessing just designed for additional drive space if required. Shame the box is unable to read external drives. The home network feature and the twonky software is utter useless in my mind at the moment. Having played with Twonky and DLNA in the past, this is something that I would not be too excited about. Functionality and performance is limited at best. Other than that, its fast, the interface is very nice (still getting used to it), the removal of the smart card is an added bonus as my 2 year old can no longer yank it out. And its rather a nice looking piece of kit Cheers D

I tried "upc port forwarding horizon" , "upc router login address" and i tried standards like 192.168.1.1, .1.0, .0.1, .254 etc to no success Thanks anyway, now to drill it into my head that it is http://192.168.192.1/

Mr.S wrote: » Http://192.168.192.1 Login and Password are admin & you don't need to use the horizon box as your hub, you can just connect to an existing network. Research before you diss UPC :pac:  You know how to setup NAS and use a Linux machine, but simple things like looking up the IP address to access the router? c'mon! Did you pay for the router UPC supplied? If you didn't then i'm pretty sure they still own it! Which is why they ask for it back when you cancel the service. You'll probably be able to get it back if you ask them though, no one took mine!

I can't access a dam thing!!! Its rubbish! I need to be able to do port forwarding on my network. I have a NAS and a headless linux machine running on my network that i access when im out and about through my original cisco router (which i was forced to return and is a breach of contract... upc please expect a letter to upper management about this matter from me)?

Finally my original installation had my modem centered in the house with my tv in a corner of the house. Now my tv and modem are rammed into the corner causing wifi dead spots in my house. Like seriously UPC... the **** is this crap?
