I think I counted 3 marked and 8 unmarked Garda cars today (I'm certain there were more, but I was starting to get confused with some of the better unmarked ones so stuck to only counting the ones I knew were definitely AGS). Unfortunately they were all over the place so I could only really get one or two half-decent ones photographed.

Spotted this little sporty number in Belfast last week, just a year younger than the Avensis! Had a PSNI Auto Crime decal on the rear window and a PSNI logo on its bonnet. V. smart.

Back in the 60's RUC Traffic used unmarked Mini Coopers with drop down 'POLICE - STOP' signs in the rear window :cool:

Still see the red Mondeo V6 Zetec S patrolling D8 - that'd give the ST a run for it's money in a North-South chase

It was taken at the St. John Ambulance relaunch event that was held in the Aviva stadium in January. I've a few photos of the above ambulance (and the jeeps) that I had intended to post here shortly after the event, but I genuinely can't remember if I did do so or not in the end. Anyone know?

Contacted the station about getting it for a few photos, hopefully, but no reply. Think I'll call it a day with shooting Garda stuff. It's always very awkward and the station never seems to reply (though I've helped them out in the past where possible). I'd rather they just said 'no', than not replied. It's a bit annoying.

Which is odd, as the Traffic Corps in Drogheda are great to deal with, in my experience. They always help out and are genuinely nice and easy to deal with (as well as being a bit of a laugh, too). It's a strange one. Or maybe I've just been sending letters to the wrong person in the station (I usually go for the Community Police as, when I first sent letters to the station a few years back about getting photos, I just sent them to the Superintendent, and it was Community Police that got back to me.
