It happens that UPS is the German national postal service so while in Germany UPS handle the package and once it arrives in Ireland it is then handed over to An Post.

Mine was definitely delivered by a ups courier the last time I ordered.A previous order came via An Post but that was when my order was shipped via DHL.

yeah dhl are the national post service for germany, hardwareversand only started using ups recently enough i think

TBH I'm a little confused now ....

I made a mistake in my earlier post, DHL are the national postal service in Germany and hwvs used to use them. Which meant packages were passed on to An Post when they arrived in Ireland.

Looking at my order history my order was shipped via DHL for €30.
The shipping options on the site now I can only choose UPS costing €18.99.

So I'd imagine hwvs switched to UPS to get the cheaper delivery price. So it seems that any orders since this change was made use UPS all the way?

Ordered a power supply from them on Monday night so I'll see who delivers it in the next few days,I wasn't really paying attention when I ordered as to who it was shipping with.Hopefully be ordering a new graphics card from them next week assuming it comes back into stock when they say it will.

Was on HWVS and saw this and this. Are they simply the same card just one is the GHz edition and the other is the standard? The only reason I ask is because of the different layout in specifications for the non GHz edition. Just to me it looked kinda dodgy.

I don't think there's much of a difference between the two of these other than one being a GHz edition.Was considering getting that card at one stage.

Essentially the same although HIS seem to have a few difference SKUs for that card. It is likely the 925MHz clocked one, which I would get anyway because its cheaper and you'll be overclocking much higher that the GHz speedbump anyway.

EDIT: HWVS Product page says 925MHz now as well, I'm pretty sure it didn't say that a minute ago ?

Ye I was a bit put off by the specification part of the item that was about it. Also, I've the Corsair Vengeance 1500 headset at home would I benefit/should I bother getting a soundcard? I've about €60 to spend. I've heard various people on numerous forums saying both yes and no to the question. I was in your opinion is there a huge difference between on board and say a €60 soundcard?

There won't be apart from the software you might get with them. You're looking at around €100-150 for a decent soundcard.

PSU will be plenty. I personally love dedicated sound, and the Vengeance 1500 is no slouch either, so I think it would be worth while investment.

Does a usb headset(1500) benefit from a dedicated soundcard? I was always under the impression that they had no effect on quality

Woops. I got confused there apparently. The 2000 is their wireless USB one, I thought both the 1300 and 1500 were analogue, but they're not. In that case don't bother with one, OP.

1300 is analogue 1500 is usb. Maybe go with the 1300?

Ye I own a set of 1500's but I've more money than sense. Either spend it now or wait until the girlfriend finds out about it and then it's spent shopping.....

Well, you could spent it on some Gentle Typhoons or something. Much better performing, and quieter case fans than anything you'll get with a case.

Have a few ordered. Built the computer up last August but had to sell my gtx 670 to get some money for college unfortunately. That's why i'm ordering the 7970 and a few other little things from HWVS now.

This card or this card.There's only around €20 between them so I'm thinking of going for the 4gb one.

Get a 670 or 660 Ti. The 680 is horrible value. Either of those two cards (particularly the 670) will perform to within about 95% of the 680. No joke.

Yeah the 670 is really nice value for money at the moment.

If you're going to look into watercooling it at any point, or adding a third-party cooler or something, then you'll want a reference design one (a normal, non-overclocked one) otherwise, ASUS' DirectCU2 cards are pretty good by all accounts (GTX 670-DC2).

This may betray my ignorance, but whatever.

Technically speaking, wouldn't reference cards be lower binned as compared to ones with non-reference coolers? Making the water cooling less worthy of being applied to them?

Probably going to go for one of the evga ftw 670s.My only question now is 2gb or 4gb?I assume 4gb would only be necessary if I'm using multiple monitors,which I may do in the future but at the moment I'm not.And as for water cooling it,me and plumbing of any description do not get along well together.The only thing I'll be water cooling is my cpu.

You're right. That's not to say you couldn't get an overlocked version with a reference PCB, I just didn't want to confuse the issue.

GPUs benefit a lot more from being watercooled than CPUs generally speaking. That said, it's quite a bit of money to invest in a custom loop for a CPU and GPU, so it's not for everyone. As far as I'm aware, EVGA's 670 FTW uses a 680 PCB, so a 680 block would work with it if you ever wanted to watercool in the future.

To be honest the only reason I want to water cool the cpu is for silence,the only thing I can hear from my case is the stock fan on my i5 3570K and its driving me mad.I'm going to go for the 2gb FTW and probably buy a second one at some stage in the future once I get around to upgrading my motherboard.

That's the main reason I watercool. The 670 is decently quiet for a high-end card, and a bit quieter than a stock Intel cooler, but it's still miles too loud for my tastes.
