ColeTrain wrote: » As long they're paying their taxes and other utility bills then why bother? EBT's are grand sure.
Broxi_Bear_Eire wrote: » But you never know what mistakes they may be making as for EBT's did the club get found not guilty by a 2-1 majority. Sorry that stick is not much good for beating us with anymore. Nor after today is the threats that were being bandied about that we were going to lose so many titles and maybe some Scottish cups. The independent inquiry reached their decision and that is that. Hopefully we can now get back to the important thing The football
ColeTrain wrote: » The titles went to the grave with the old company and weren't dug up today, so to speak. That's how I read it.
[14] Written reasons were indeed made available, and we refer to them for their terms. They set out, in more detail than is required here, the events preceding the preliminary hearing. They also give reasons for disposal of certain of the preliminary issues which are no longer live. We decided, in brief, that: (1) While it was a member of the SPL Oldco was contractually bound to the SPL (and the other members) to comply with its Rules, and was liable to sanctions as provided by the Rules in the event of a breach; (2) It remained so liable even after it had ceased to be a member of the SPL; (3) Rangers FC was liable to sanctions as provided by the Rules in the event of a breach while it was owned and operated by Oldco; and(4) There were sanctions which could be imposed in terms of the Rules which were capable of affecting Rangers FC as a continuing entity now owned and operated by Newco.
Broxi_Bear_Eire wrote: » Well I know I will never get you to change your mind but thats not of any importance but read this taken from the findings of the inquiry
The_Kew_Tour wrote: » I have made my points clear on Rangers and I don't see them as new club they will always be Rangers. But I am little disappointed with the fact that fans can still think they won these trophies fair and square when it's clear they did not. It sets a dangerous precedent for other clubs to do the same. What's done is done but you have to question how many league titles they would of won had they not basically cheated.
ColeTrain wrote: » After reading that the question I have is what sanctions are being imposed against the new club? I don't see the point in a few blown argument here btw, as you said yourself my mind won't be changed and it looks that way with you too!
Broxi_Bear_Eire wrote: » None but its not a new club its a new holding company. which is also talked about in the findings. No sanctions have been levied onto the new holding company as they make it clear in the findings that the old holding company was the one responsible
Broxi_Bear_Eire wrote: » How is it not they were won on the park. If you look at the EBt's you will find that in the main two years when most money was spent on these we actually lost the title. Well I don't think EBT's will be used that way has been shut. And if these other clubs are clean why not open there doors to scrutiny from an independent team that way everyone starts with a clean bill of health
ColeTrain wrote: » If you're claiming it's the same club then why can't you be punished? Seems you want it all but without any consequences.
The_Kew_Tour wrote: » I agree to point but these other clubs ain't winning much now are they ? Every club should be assessed I don't doubt that. Cork City went bust in a time when we won Setanta cup in which I don't regard us winning and most Cork fans agree with because we cheated to get better players. The money most spent may have been in 2 years ye lost the league, but it's not as if these players suddenly disappeared and they were part of success in coming years. I am talking OTT here but if Hibs signed Messi Ronaldo and Inesta and won league on second season would that be ok even though it's clear we have no hope to ever get that money paid? Never would happen of course and fans of other clubs would be crying foul for some time. Rightly so.
Broxi_Bear_Eire wrote: » Mate this independent inquiry states we had know advantage on the field of play. So as fans we are naturally going to be happy about that and with all due respect not all the players receiving payments were world class come on Billy Dodds
The_Kew_Tour wrote: » I understand that most likely you would of won some league titles maybe even all of them in that space of time but there will now always be a doubt in people's mind about it. I have been on pretty much each Spl fan forums today and few more who would share these views and some are much harsher. It's not something I'm going to lose sleep over and I know it's touchy subject especially with me not being a Rangers fan. What's done is done, but to many fans of Scottish clubs there will always be doubts that's all.
A Dub in Glasgo wrote: » Well well well, the months and months of ranting and threats from the management of Rangers has worked. The commission decided that Rangers broke the rules but decided to let them off, so to speak, because Bryson from the SFA stated that this breaking of the rules would have had no material impact on player registrations. Is this the same Bryson who was involved with Farry over the Cadete registration cover-up problem?
Broxi_Bear_Eire wrote: » Well said Brewster except 99% of bears I know don't want fast tracked we are happy to make our way back to the top on the park
Eirebear wrote: » Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha! A court of law has ruled in our favour an "independent" tribunal has ruled in our favour. Now it's all down to the funny handshakes. Bitter, Bitter, Bitter. See you all in 2 years. 54 titles, we're still going strong!
ColeTrain wrote: » Still going strong? You've had to start a new club and you're in division 3 with superstars like Ian Black and Charles Green running things. I suppose with the year you've had this feels like a victory?
Broxi_Bear_Eire wrote: » Really get over it we didn't start a new club what's so hard to understand that Green bought the assets before the old holding company was liquidated therefore they all belonged to the new holding company. It's not rocket science now no matter how upset people are due to verdicts going in Rangers favour they need to get a grip. It is so gauling that one minute the independent commission is great but as soon as the verdict goes against the way certain people want it to go. The accusations start about Masonic conspiracies ( presumably meaning Protestant) also accusations of bribery. It really does become very sad but not totally unexpected. Still I live in hope that some day these people will accept defeat gracefully though I am not holding my breath 54
Eirebear wrote: » I never had you down as one of the bitter ones Cole, mind you the last year or so has shown me just how far it spreads. Still going strong? Too right we are. Look over your shoulders, because lawell never managed to kill us, despite help from his familiars.
ColeTrain wrote: » Never mentioned anything like that, you must know something? Nah I'm not bitter EireBear, I'm obsessed  How could Lawell have stopped a new club being formed? not sure what you're getting at.
