Nexus 4 ordering process

Beezkneez!

Would love to get the 16gb version. Does google play allow us folks in ireland to purchase from it? I already have the Nexus 7 and love it so trying to figure out how i can get my hands on it. I purchased to N7 in a shop however.

Me too. I ordered at 1.14 am on January 31st. (For some reason, Google Wallet shows it in PST as "January 30, 2013 5:14:09 PM UTC-8".). Within minutes they had sent me an email "Order Receipt", and Google Wallet showed a transaction with "Your order has been sent to Google Commerce Ltd." A "Debit Card Transaction" showed up on my bank account (though the bank tells me that it's strictly speaking a "reservation" at this stage.)

Since then, not a word. No further emails, no updates to the transaction in Google Wallet. No refund on the bank transaction.

So, it seems my order is taking longer than many others to be processed. Even allowing for the fact that it's not "first come, first served", I'm thinking there's probably some reason for such a long delay.

My order was submitted using a brand-new Google account created just for this, and using a debit card that was never used before with Google Wallet. I'm wondering, is the lack of history on the account something that may have singled it out for special scrutiny?

Has anyone here actually succeeded in ordering a Nexus 4 with a brand new Google account that had no transaction history? Thanks in advance, for any replies....

I'm in the same spot, ordered late 30th/early 31st of January and I'm on the pre-order stage still. Better than being cancelled and when the shipping estimate was 1-2 weeks going in I'm not about to get worked up about it just yet. You can't really read anything into the delay when you factor in how Google are servicing their orders list.

Just picked mine up from my parcel motel, shipping status says its still in the uk, so tracking really isn't that good.

Mine is showing as in Dublin on the tracking but there is a weird line in red at the end:

(RED)1 PCE SHORT AS PER COLIN -0 PCES SCANNED 04/02

Perhaps that means that the order is missing a piece. I did order 2 Nexus 4's.

Same for me, so it seems less likely that a piece has gone missing.

I'm waiting on a delivery too (N.Ireland here). Googled after I seen the tracking in Dublin with the "(RED) 1 PCE SHORT AS PER COLIN" message and found this thread. Just registered to let you guys know I'm in the same boat too, so even more unlikely our gear has gone walkies. Probably a system problem. (read: Hopefully a system problem

I have just come to this thread and am thinking of trying to order a 4 from either UK (parcel motel) or Spain (family connection).

Could someone summarise the current state of play (no pun intended!)?

1. Play Store
Have overplay vpn, assume this will get me onto the UK site? Anyone know the availability on UK site as of today? (In work, can't get onto my VPN).

2. Payment
UK accepts Google Wallet with Irish Credit Card? Do I need to get up a new account with a UK address?

3. Delivery
Assume UK delivery only? So Parcel Motel to NI?

I'd appreciate if someone who has been through the process recently could help

Mine was refunded the same day it was cancelled (2nd time) First time took a few days.
