Motors@Midway - Sunday February 3rd

It's been a while since we've had one of these and we're giving plenty of notice.We're organising a meet for Sunday February the 3rd at 12.00 at Midway in Portlaoise.

It's exit 17 off the M7.

This is an informal gathering of like minded people that just wish to talk and look at cars and anyone acting the d1ck will be told swiftly where to go. That means no racing, burnouts, drifting - that's not what the meets have ever been like or will ever be like.

What usually happens is we arrive, have a chat, get a munch and chat some more. It's a great way to get to know other posters and to (hopefully) see some nice metal. It doesn't matter what you drive, it makes no difference and everyone is welcome. As always, if people cant get there under their own steam and need lifts or anything just mention it and I'm sure something can be sorted out.

I was only going to meet pred, so I'll have to cancel.:P

On a serious note, I'm on very restricted driving/exercise (medical advice "do not be too ambitious"), so it's unlikely in two weeks that I'll be well enough to cope with this journey and being out and about.

Being in a car is the problem, I can tolerate sitting/driving for about half an hour.

Same with me, I'd some disgusting injection into my knee yesterday which may deliver miraculous results which means I end up down in the felter, to admire all the lovely cars. That's currently looking unlikely, I'll take my weeks ban if needs be, all depends on my evil physio next week. Fierce conservative they are.

I have this mighty sunroof in the car which opens (surprisingly

) on my yoke so you're welcome to stand in the car...however you'd have one mighty facelift on ya by the time we'd be in Port Lousy....:pac:

I grew up in Port Lousy

Foot on the dashboard would work fine, no need for the sun roof

i'm out again, had to change the date for the NCT and the 3rd was the only date available for weeks..and I have to go to Mullingar for the privelege..

I was too lazy to pm those who might be coming from Cork but I'll be leaving my house at about 11 that morning and so should be hitting the tunnel by ten past if anyone from Cork wants to meet up and form some sort of a convoy it'd be great. I'll be meeting MM on the way around thurles and possible EPM too depending on the way he takes. The time of leaving is approx if someone needs it a tad later but I'm working 6-10 so can't really do much earlier myself.
