To be honest I would much our laws were changed so that punishments actually reflected the severity of the crime. Life should mean life and all that.

I would rather we did not turn into a nation of blood thirsty vigilantes, as many here seem to be advocated.

And I can't honestly say I could be emotionless and cold enough to enjoy watching another person die. I hope we never ever stoop to that.

I despise criminals in all their forms from the tax evader to the murderer but I really don't think lowering ourselves to levels I mentioned above will do anything for anyone.

So I take it that you don't believe in human rights. That no-one should have any rights at all. Because the thing is they're called human rights for a reason, either everyone has them or their pointless.

I don't believe that people that intentionally cause harm to others should have human rights. They forfeit their rights when they attack elderly people.

After pressure from lobbist groups. Those cuts should never have been entertained in the first place. Why not look at cutting free legal aid for those on second and subsequent offences instead?

well i dont know the answer to that, but id imagine its probably something to do with a human right for proper legal represantion if you cant afford a barrister yourself to give the defendant an equal chance to defend him/herself in a court. you cant really send someone to court and expect them to know the "technical" side of things

Vested interests? Yes, I am a criminal kingpin. I personally coordinate attacks against the elderly and take a 10% share. It used to be 20% but thye criminals unionised. I also own a time share in a terrorist training facility.
