Gonna guess its a really small DC barrel pin, one for my dropad broke too.

Are you sure its broken, is it like visually f'cked or does it just appear to not charge at all?

pics attached. sorry for the size, its straight from my phone.

i put a 20c coin next to it as a size comparison, but it doesnt do it justice. its a really small pin. thinnest ive seen.

the charger is fecked. the socket pin on the transformer is forced into the actual transformer. like it was stood on, by a really strong heavy boot or something.

You can see the state of the transformer in the background, had to smash it open and resolder the terminals.

Note to self, china pads are cheap for a reason.

I found this but unsure is it the right size. I have a usb mains charger too afaik

My dvd drive is on its last legs. The nearest computer store to me would probably be pc world in limerick but im gob smacked at the prices they charge

You can use the mlink command, simply move the entire BF3 folder to the new HDD location and then create a directory link in the original SSD location with the same name, pointing at the new HDD folder. Everything should still function as normal.

So if you had moved a directory called BF3 already from c: to d: something like this would do the trick.

Got my first taste of Windows 8 today, absolutely horrible. Where the heck is the start button?! Perhaps after a while one might get used to it, but after half an hour on it I don't like it, I couldn't find stuff easily so I'll just stick with Windows 7.

did everyone have a good dinner? I had duck starters and lobster thermodore for mains. not very traditional, but I don't like turkey, and the ma doesn't eat ham, chicken is too boring, so it's a compromise

God I ****ing despise Eircom. I never hated a company as much as I hate Eircom.

Eircom suck donkey balls, I know that sounds like a cheap shot but they do. They actually expected me to have a line installed so they could then check whether or not it was usable for broadband. Their own broadband ffs.

Naturally I suggested a few orifices they could insert their service, and went
with a wireless broadband provider as there were no other options. Tbh I was expecting a crock but its been excellent so far-we have it over 1.5 years and its been down for more than a day twice, 7Mb down & 1Mb up, also low ping (usually sits between 15-30ms most days) which is brilliant for gaming.

Have you tried any of the local wireless crowds? Munster broadband seem to be well thought of, and cover south Tipp by the looks of it.

Sounds like eircom alright

In fairness, BT and eircom (same lines) used to be perfect for gaming. Regularly had <20ms to Irish servers. Then they rolled out their "Super awesome fast" packages >7Mb and it all went to shít. Packets going through amsterdam to get to the UK, packetloss, huge ping... probably fixed by now

They've always been shít in terms of customer service though

The service used be good alright, I'd guess what they have invested in their infrastructure cannot keep pace with the increase of people & mobile devices online.

I guess thats what was happening yesterday, I had much lower pings to Netherland and Germany than UK. It's usually ok, sub 100 anyway but not great.
