After some testing I've concluded that the Energy Storage (Empty), an item needed to craft a core machine of Thermal Expansion, cannot be made in the current version of FtB without Creative or hacking. Both new and old recipes were tested, and both with Lead Ingots from ThEx and Factorization mods (they each have their own types).

At this point I can only guess that the latest FtB update introduced a critical clash between ThEx and Factorization. Yup, for once it seems that GregTech isn't to blame

This issue does not render Thermal Expansion unusable, but does make it much harder to use unless you're stinking rich in terms of materials and either energy or fuel production, as each and every one of your ThEx machines will need its own independent power supply. In other words, for normal players this issue will make you not want to bother with the mod much unless the situation gets fixed

I was able to craft them fine last night, are you sure you were using the right recipe/materials?

Everyone was on the Feed the Beast server, but after the last update somehow disabled Iridium Ingots the place has rapidly turned into a ghost town

Which kinda sucks given the lack of ThaumCraft or (dare I say it?) EE... there's nothing else to aim for

I really wish they would fix that alright. Its confusing because its one of the few things gregtech made easier.

Died again, the server has!

Suddenly stopped loading chunks then just ground to a halt. Rarely shows up as online in the server list, can't reconnect.

OK what fool annoyed the pigmen !!!

.also making xmas tree and other xmas stuff but I need glowstone dust/lamps, redstone ,gold ,spruse wood ,snow and anything else people think might be handy (Diamonds are always handy ! ) .Especially from players with tones of stuff but dont really play anymore and want to put it to good use .Please put contributions in a private chest with my name on it at my farm .

Server host seems to be fuxxored. Both vanilla and FtB servers shows as being online but they won't let me log in - I've been trying on and off for two hours now. The login fails, the server stops showing on my list and I have to restart the whole client. I can get on the Tekkit server so I know its not Mojang.

I know, I was trying to log in with my known-good 1.4.2 client. I updated it to 1.4.5 for a laugh and it now actually shows the version mismatch in the server list now

No dice. Same Failed to Login:Error/Error: Bad Login spam and then End of Stream on subsequent attempts

Had the same issue myself, restarted the vanilla server there. Let me know if that helps in any way at all. I'm still having issues but I think that's just my connection right now.

Yup. We're using oldskool protection, aka "don't allow dickheads on to the test server in the first place"
