Fitted the new chrome indicator bulbs, look the business for such a small touch

Also just received my white LED interior bulb too.

Had to do a main beam and associated dip too since one blew and the other went while replacing the main - typical really. Getting some nice fog lights for the GP in a few weeks so might have to upgrade all the bulbs to some ice white varients, anyone know what the prices are like for a kit perhaps for a Punto (or Fiat)?

EDIT: Never mind, found a nice kit that gives me the beams, sidelights and fogs for €16 - sweet! Link to eBay.

Finished my suspension work today, car now has a complete new suspension in the rear, bar the struts.

Job was to replace the guide rods and upper control arms on each side, shiny new Meyle parts:

Removing the ball joint nut on the control arm:

All done, about 3 hours work:

Alignment tomorrow.

With mine its a case of turning eccentric bolts, bolts whos heads are off-centre in relation to the axis of the screw. Here's one:

That kind of bolt sits in a hole like this one (with the tipex marks):

As you turn the bolt, it pushes the suspension inwards or outwards by a very small amount, as the bolt head is off-centre.

There's also another bolt like it on the guide rod. Between these bolts (and possibly a third adjustment), you can adjust the camber, toe and caster of the wheel using laser guided machines, which are attached to each wheel before adjustment begins.

Its pretty basic, but you need the proper equipment to give an accurate reading.

So the very day I post this, I come home to a delivery of 4 packages

2 x Canbus Error-Free LED's
2 x White LED 501 Sidelights
1 x White LED 40mm Interior
1 x Aux-In for Fiat Blaupunkt

It started off great with the head lights (with the new 501's on the left) looking great:

Unfortunately though, due to the low resistance of the bulbs - they just flicker when the car is off so I have had to revert them back to stock until I get the Xenon kit for the whole front end of eBay next week here.

Afterwards, I changed out the 501's above the registration plate and was really happy with the results (please excuse the dirty car as I'm impatiently waiting for a dry day):

They worked great but this time, I got the dashboard error on the Punto (which is really sensitive to resistance changes) so for the time being it's also back to stock here - I've put one of the canbus LED's in the boot instead which is very nice and bright (pictures of that soon). I've ordered longer error-free ones since I actually got a better glow area with the bulbs, if they don't work I will be adding some resistors to the circuit with these off eBay.

Finally, I installed the aux-in cable (2 minute job) and changed the interior bulb with a white LED and it looks great (fades on and off with the opening and closing of doors) and will post a picture soon. I have purchased some white LED strips for the footwells and under the seats to link into this circuit as well - it's a lovely look for any car and really makes it look modern and clean.

Onwards and upwards - alloys, lowering and paint refurbishment in the new year!

It's not perfect yet but i had to leave it for today. Maybe i will be back to this in few days. I don't know what will be next step with my car. Maybe lights inside a car and in the doors. I'm planing to lowered it a little bit but don't know when

You have to know if your exhaust is chrome or aluminium. One of this autosol is only for aluminium and the other one is for chrom and all the metals. Aluminium is easier to clean because you can use wet sand paper and then paste and you shouldn't use sand paper for chrom because it's too sensitive

Mine will be clean one more time because it's not look like i want it

i contemplated removing the clear rears too in favour of the Amber's but that was a little too much!
