I just got a Parking Ticket in a 3 Hr parking spot and I wasnt even there 3 hrs

I parked outsde of my officeI normally start @ 8.30 but i had issues getting out of the scracher so I was late and didnt appear until around 9I went out to my car for lunch at 11.45 and hey presto..a ticket on my windowI wasnt even there 3 hours and I was about to move itShould I jut shove it up the traffic wardens hole

100000% of what? 100000% of 3hrs is 3000hrs so technically you should be able to park there for 125 days or 17.85 weeks or 4.16 months. Although if its 100000% of how sure you are then I don't know how to work that out as I'm not a scientist.

I don't get it, how does the traffic warden know how long you've been there? And if you were to dispute it, how would you prove when you got there?

I dunno about Cork, but everywhere else with ticket parking if it says 3 hour zone it doesn't mean the first 3 are free, it means you pay for your parking but can only stay for 3 hours.

The traffic warden probably knows your car and in his infinite wisdom assumed you were on time for work. You should find the said traffic warden and apologies for disrupting his scientific method of calculating parking times.

take it straight to the city hall, with a written appeal and your ticket, they are very reasonable to be fair.... ("Some" Traffic wardens suffer from power surges though)

I've travelled every street in Cork. Tell me where you were parked and I'll tell you if you're right or wrong.

Like someone else said if its a three hour zone it means you can park there for three hours WITH A DISC and then you have to move.

I arrived back at my car one day to find a parking ticket under the wiper. I looked at the time and saw that it had been issued 5 minutes before, so I went to the ticket machine and bought a ticket, went to government services centre and they cancelled it. You get approx 10 minutes grace from when the ticket is issued
