Grats wrote: » I'm new here and would very much appreciate help with the above i.e. RTE Aertel on the Ariva 150. Could somebody direct me to instructions for getting Aertel please? Many thanks.
STB wrote: » You have satellite channels scanned already ? Perhaps you do not have the encrypted ones scanned. You can scan just the one containing the encrypted RTE's as follows. Press Menu Scroll down and select TPPress the green buttonAdd TP will popup Enter as followsFrequency = 10744Symbol Rate = 22000Polarity=HClick down to save. If it prompts you just click yes okay button. Now press the blue key.It will add the channels to the main Astra2 list. You can now move that channel to your own list of channels as described in the manual and indeed rename it "Aertel" from "RTE1$" so as not to cause confusion with your Saorview RTEs.Pressing text whilst on this station will pull up Aertel.
Grats wrote: » I tried the above and got a message at the end saying no program found - do you think I'm doing something wrong? Many thanks for reply.
STB wrote: » When you went to the TP list to add that frequency it is headed Astra 2A at the top yeah ? And you have a satellite dish connected to the box ?
Grats wrote: » Yes to both
STB wrote: » Do it again ! It should find them if a satellite dish is correctly connected to it. Are you getting all the BBC's ITVs Sky News channels etc ?
Grats wrote: » I'm doing the following but no luck - FTA Only - NO Scan Channel - TV Channel Network Search - No Yes, I have BBCs ITVs Sky News etc.
STB wrote: » Before you press the blue button which searches for the stations on that frequency make sure it is highlighting the one labelled. 10744 22000 H Infact at the bottom the signal strength bar should be green as well (signifying a live transponder)!

STB wrote: » Okay go to satellites in menu and add Eutelsat 28.5 (like you did when you setup 28.2) by clicking okay beside it - a love heart symbol will be placed beside it. Exit back to install menu. In TP scan it should say Eutelsat 28.5 at the top. Follow my original instructions.
Grats wrote: » Sorry, still no luck. I went into Satellite List and entered Eutelsat and under LNB1 I entered 28.5. Got the heart, Followed original instructions. And again I got no program found!!!!
STB wrote: » I do not understand why this would be the case. What firmware is this box on ? You can get this by going to the tools menu and pressing information. What does it say for maincode ?
Grats wrote: » V1.19B1 20120807-191347
STB wrote: » Well I cant see why it doesnt cant scan the RTEs. Its not as if the transponder is weak. I suggest you upgrade the firmware to the latest version. Extract the .abs file from that, stick it on a USB stick, put stick in box, go to menu, upgrade by USB and select Allcode+bootloader, click down to start and let it flash the firmware, box will then reboot. Then do a factory reset in menu and then rescan the satellite channels. Your firmware may be corrupt. I have never seen such an issue before though.
