I get random fails like this on my motherboard too, sometimes it randomly decides to use the HDD instead of the SSD. When it happens I load into the Boot Menu on startup and select the SSD as the boot device to use and it works fine again after that. On my motherboard to open the Boot Menu I hold F8 on the UEFI start screen, on my laptop it's F12. There should be a message on screen as the UEFI is loading. It might help with the annoying not starting but unfortunately I don't think it will help recognising the HDD

Hopefully I can get my internet fixed tomorrow so I can download all the drivers I need for the other parts of my PC and activate Windows.
