As for Kyle Stanley, I watched that whole tournament and basically he destroyed the course with his power but it came down to hitting that last shot, and he completely bottled it! All I am saying is that on the US tour for the vast majority of tournaments, you need to hit the ball high, long and have a good array of chips from the high rough around the greens. Shane offers something different.........end of!
GreeBo wrote: » By that logic he will do badly if he moves to the US tour as he wont have the experience of hitting the shots you mention above. I dont disagree that Stanley hit a bad shot, but I disagree that he couldn't have hit a half 8/9 if we wanted to.

ssbob wrote: » Hardly what I am saying but I think Shane has a greater arsenal of shots from the more practice he gets, he is obviously a good big course player as he proved in the BMW last year and the Dubai World Championship last year. I think Stanley could have hit a half 8/9 but it came down to the amount of times he has practiced that and he didn't feel confident to hit it so therefore given that postion Shane would have had a greater amount of shots to choose from. We can agree to disagree if you like just to let the conversation move on?

Like it or not he is in the public eye and people are entitled to comment regardless of your feelings on the subject so you can save the moral outrage routine.

i doubt the man knows what colour his shoes are. with his natural talent he should slim down, build up his core and give himself a chance at being the best he can be. no reason why he couldn't be challenging Rory every week, he has the skills.

Still, everyone is enjoying his good form, and I have not seen one comment to the contrary. Many just think he could be even better if he slimmed down a bit, as that would improve his stamina. Think of the 36-hole per day competitions. He could find the going tough come the 35th hole when the chips are down. Anyone who does agree that being overweight instead of in peak physical condition is then one of what you said above.
