good price, i got for wifes vw polo 1.6 tdi service kit from dealers for 140 ish euro ... but there was oil, oil filter, air filter, diesel filter, wiper set.

Managed to cut my finger changing a bulb on the folks Mondeo. Got a bulb(and 2 spares) from Halfrauds, and the bayonet base on all 3 were clearly misaligned(the pointy bits). Buggers wouldn't give a refund as I'd ripped open the boxes to check.:rolleyes: Ended up getting a decent one from a motor factors for 1/5 of the price:D

Noticed yesterday evening how many cars have 1-2 lights out be they regular or fogs on dims, 10-20%, shocking amount really, also noticed one of my rear licenseplate lights is out, good excuse to replace with some led's.

Anyone gotten any that have performed well ?

A good wash, polish and wax, looking much better! Used a load of 3m cleaning stuff I got in Tesco for 75% off the other day, highly reccomend it!

My Alfa 145 Cloverleaf needed a fair bit of work put into it. Last week I got the following done to it -

New front wishbones fitted
Antiroll bar drop links fitted
Front discs.
Inner cv joint.
2 front wheel bearings
4 shocks and springs (2nd hand) as previous owner cut the springs with an angle grinder and made a balls of it.
New front foglights.

And did the following myself -
Rear pads.
New exhaust fitted
Oil/Oil filter/Air filter change.

And some stuff still to do -

Find petrol flap, as I walked into mine and broke it.
New plugs needed.
Rear seat belts as current ones are locked solid.
Paintwork, esp on roof is very faded.

Apart from that I stil love it

Purchased error-free LED's for the GP reg plates and silver / chrome indicator bulbs for the front - subtle little changes - piece by piece

How they'll look...

Tomorrow (pay day) I will be getting a Yatour MP3 / USB / SD / Aux-IN adapter that allows me to control my music with the steering wheel controls - nice!

Purely just for styling, though I have heard of people putting the air intake up at the vents.

On a side note, I've had a lot of niggly things at me with this car and I'm considering putting it up for sale soon and buying something a little simpler, any thoughts on what might be a good asking price?

1.4 engine. 92,500 miles. Just serviced, taxed til March 13 and NCT til September 14.

Haha a good spot! Put the blue in the bottom too just to see how it all looked together! I don't hate it, but I reckon I will be spraying the original mesh black and popping it back in some fine sunny day when I'm off!;)

I couldn't get an online quote from them earlier. I rang a few brokers and nowhere could beat my renewal quote with my current policy which was €820. Not a great quote, but it could be a lot worse. And my policy has every possible extra available

I had a nice misfortune of coming off the M50 (in the mini) in 4th gear and dropped to go into 3rd gear but it got stuck in Neutral. Little heart attack coasting at 100kmh uphill off the motorway! Lots of furious pumping and eventually hobble home. I had ran out of clutch fluid! Topped that up and learnt that I need to keep a bottle of clutch/brake fluid in the car at all times!!

i was driving up grace park road today and ran out of clutch..

wednesday it gets a new one.........

Voodoomelon has inspired me to fit heated seats to my car!!

I was just wondering though if the seat heaters will effect the seat occupancy sensor thingy or are they ok?

I'm not being funny here or anything but apparently, heated seats have been shown to be bad for production of the "little fellas" if you get me. It would, I would think, have to be a lot of exposure but I read about it somewhere. With that said, I have no idea how true it is
