ive played warz and dayz, nothing wrong with either, both good games in their own right

F2P are generally poop and free for that reason, some notable exceptions Enemy Territory being possibly the only one

I know i seem as the Dayz fanboy but I did actually have hopes for Warz but when I saw its quality I realised that it was a no go, I don't know maybe when the two standalones are side by side then we;ll see which is better but for the time being i'll keep my money

This game is not leeching from dayz, ffs its in development long before dayz, i love dayz as much as the next guy but im tired of the same old line that it ripped off dayz

If anyone is interested towellie is streaming warz live right now.
Warz has about 10k watching live streams right now where as dayz has 200.

I know I'm spoiling but this looks horrible! noway has this been in development for 2 years! The devs delete all bad posts from the forums because they cant take it..... B.T.W Dayz is a mod and has less bugs then a game that is in alpha.... in my opinion I hate this game and the company is really just leaching from all the Dayz zombie craze. tbh most of the stuff you can buy just seems like its there for convenience, i can find most of that stuff (bar the masks) without much effort, isnt the lead guy on this (sergey) one of the lead devs that did league of legends?

Looks good but having to pay $40 for a game which is using a free to play 'in-game currency' model is more than slightly off putting.

this game is actually quite good when you get a group together, had an epic game session tonight where a group of 4 of us walked into a store only to get killed except for 1 guy who held the bandit until we managed to return, we then proceeded to hammer rush him from three different entrances (keeping in mind he had shotguns) and win :eek: all happy out reclaiming our loot when blam a sniper starts popping shots at us, so i decided to be the crawling loot recovery specialist

managed to get most of the valuables back without being killed and logged out,
if this game keeps proceeding in the way it has over the last few days i can see it being very good

also they fixed the zombies and i joyned a game got chased by some one and got killed

It's always funny when someone uses a load of bullets to try and kill you and get's a flashlight for their troubles, if anything at all.

So far from playing it this evening:

Joined my first game and got chased and killed by someone right away.
Joined my second game, Got a hammer then got chased and killed by someone else.
Joined my third game and got food, Someone chased me but I managed to escaped with my granola bar.

Also, Zombies are broken.

Just after watching a couple of videos on alpha gameplay, doesn't look fun at this stage. I know it's alpha, but pretty much 90% of the zombies were bugged, struck in the same place. Going to wait till it's released to see how it plays then.

Yeah it's the full game with beta access, it's the $20 option, only available at that price for another 2 days I think.

have to say i am loving The Warz, and they seem to be really on the ball for adding new stuff and removing what is not working daily.

Seems to me that Dayz and Warz developers have been doing the same thing for years now.
The idea for FPS and Zombies is nothing original and the idea of a survival MMO is something me and my mates even spoke about years ago but I really think The Walking Dead is the cause of so many followers and I predict The MMo survival of The Walking dead will be announced in 2013.

Fair enough, I get your point and I did think that way myself until I saw how much they had copied. My point is about supporting Bohemia for allowing mod creation so more unique games like DayZ will be created. Supporting WarZ sends the message that they should keep ideas to themselves. I might not even play DayZ standalone (DayZ was a huge time sink) but I will pay for it to support them and send a message to the games industry (I want a zombie mod for BF3 lol)

played it a little today, very similar to dayz except it looks better, i also prefer the controls and UI in it, arma2 controls always drove me a little mental :pac: havnt played enough of it to say much about it though
