My silver Octy used to be awful for tar, on the focus i only ever notice the very odd bit on the lower panels when claying

A product called Autosmart Tardis was used. There was t a major build up but for the same of 5 mins there's no point not doing it.

It was done before the claying process and you simply spray on, leave for 5 mins and power wash off.

My GF's E90 was also done and that car has 53k km of 99% city driving and that had a decent build up on it, especially the rear bumper. Both cars were actually worse atthe back, probably all the sh1t comming out of the Diesel engines

The Battery in the 'Cruiser has been finding it hard to turn the starter these few cold mornings. Its in it from new, so 9 years and 190,000 miles isn't bad!!

DOn't have the €140 for a new one, so swiped the battery out of my vintage tractor instead, which has only done about 50 start cycles. Needed to make a new J-bolt for the battery clamp as the 'new' battery is a bit bigger, but got it to fit so happy out. Plus it has a slightly higher amp rating.

While I was cleaning and sealing my wheels on the car ( Seen in this thread >> Wheel care << )

I decided to fit the wheel spacers I bought,

Only fitted to the rear of the car,

Left rear with no spacer:

Right rear with 16mm Hubcentric spacer fitted:

I did want another white car but couldn't bring myself to buy an identical car so looked around and nothing impressed me in the price range so stuck to this and thanks to a little help from Muppetcheck I chose red.

Wow that spacer makes an awful difference!

Speaking of spacers, I was behind a 106 today with a huge body kit and wide arch kit on it, was laughing because the wheels were tiny and in at least half a foot from the body, I was laughing to myself until my mother beside me spotted it and

"LOOK! Look at that car! It's on bicycle wheels!"

My car looked damn cool with the rear spacers on it too, but the fecking things were never right. Would get an awful clicking noise from them when they were on, I think the bolts were too long, even after grinding them down I still had the same trouble. Looked kick ass though

Four new Goodyear Eagle F1s yesterday evening. Daaaycent!

Replaced the dash bulbs behind the heater controls in the Grande Punto as the tiny little bulbs were gone, apparently it's a common fault. Took me 30 minutes but completely worth it. I got a small light leak at the bottom right from where once of the clips broke so I will sort that when I get and fix my AUX IN / iPod cable

Next up, position for iPhone / iPod / GPS mount - I'm thinking of using the redundant cup holders past the gearstick with a cup like mount or this clever clip I found called ProClip. Alternatively, I'd love to known somewhere I could fabricate a simple landscape mount to fit flush with the cup holders (becase they really are tiny and pointless).

Anyone have an idea of where or how I could do this? Cheers!

Got a scary P1312 error on the 9-5 yesterday. Potentially a new ignition cassette. Changed the plugs first and hasn't come back yet. My god they were in a bad way though.

Usually car tyres have a shelf life of 6 years, if it was six years or older (regardless of it being on the car or not) the rubber starts to decay, therefor it would be dangerous, to use.
