Proper boards etiquette

I was getting stick there for not letting my thread die. Is it bad etiquette to keep your threads in the first page by posting in them when they start to die off? What are other instances of terrible boards etiquette? Best answer gets a slap straight in the soup cooler.

The Death penalty.
Abortion.
Drugs.
Dole scroungers.
Americans are dumb.
Crime.

Being pernickety is generally poor form. Micro-analysing every single part of a posters comment for logical irregularities, and then debating that rather than the original point. Pedantry is poor form in all walks of life.
